Liking the reports of Vidic returning to United

Burnley could do with a affordable striker like Chris Martin or Troy Deeney

Rather convoluted, but Torres to Milan finalised permanently. Now goes to Atlético from next month on a loan deal. So in essence, Torres to Milan, but first goes to Atlético, in the hope that home comforts remind him what the back of the net looks like.

He's also at Atletico for 18 months which I think means that his contract at Milan is basically for six months after that. Not sure he's ever going to recover, he might be best off moving to abroad where he'll probably be a success whilst earning megabucks and doing good for the country's football. USA would be good, Robbie Keane is on his last legs so would have thought they would be interested in Torres.

Barcelona ban upheld by CAS. No new acquisitions in Cataluña till 2016. Think it will be rescinded eventually. The ban also prevents them from selling, which I suspect is an infringement of player's rights. Blowing all tour kitty money on one (admittedly great) player with a ban hanging over your head...

If he put as much effort as he does to Twitter and Instagram he'd still be an Arsenal player. Apparently we're loaning out Sanogo to Villa/Leicester too.

Suggests like usual we're buying a forward/midfield type or it's time for Akpom to get a chance apparently got ridiculous pace leaves Walcott standing Shocked

Think Poldi got shafted a bit by Arsenal, to be honest. Without looking I'd fancy his goal to game ratio to be near the top of the Arsenal strikers since he's joined. Maybe lacked a few things to be elite, but it's been strange watching your best finisher keep benching while you lot were short of goals.

All Lukas Podolski is, is an absolute cannon of a left foot, that's it. That got him spectacular goals, which people would cream themselves over, however, all it did was paper over the fact he was like a traffic cone on the pitch for Arsenal. Wenger realised & got rid.

Another player who wouldn't work for the team, Ben Arfa, is apparently joining Nice.

He's only 1 in 4 this year which is a drought of Fernando Torres proportions by his standards. So hardly in form enough to deserve a start.

Four games is hardly a big enough sample size. How many of those four have been off the bench?

Giroud is probably a better fit at Arsenal, more creative etc, better link up etc. But I'm yet to see exactly what it is that Welbeck offers (that's tangible/visible in results) that one wouldn't expect from Poldi. I mean even Sanogo is picked ahead of him

Again though, how many are in starts? I'd put (monopoly) money on his goal to game ratio being nearly par with Welbecks. All Poldi needs is some love, and the proverbial keys to the city.
That's why he's always done well at Köln, and not so hot at bigger clubs... He needs the kwon, as Jerry Maguire would say.

Yeah, Sissoko linked heavily with PSG, with a possibility of Cabaye included in a deal, heading back to Newcastle. Don't see that happening in all honesty. Think it will be a straight deal for Moussa, be sad to see him go. I fear for him, like Yohan, the grass won't be greener, it's happened to the majority of the players that leave us.

Well Citeh seem to be playing with 1 forward and Aguero will be fit by then seems a lot of money to waste on a bench boy with FFP. I can't see many clubs lining up for Dzeko at a price above £15-20m tbh

I hope Bony doesn't go, but can't have much qualms if he does go to the big lights in the city. At that price as well. £30 million, we can buy the rest of Swansea and reintroduce slavery.

Not sure about that one. Dzeko has never set the world alight at the Etihad, maybe the odd purple patch, even Negredo came in & leaped in front of him for half a season last year. Dzeko needs pin point service, Bony is strong, powerful, quick & scored the most goals of any one in the calendar year in the PL. Dzeko or Jovetic, who's really a midfielder are nothing special, hence this potential deal.

Is £30m ridiculous, not for me.

£30m for Bony when you consider Swansea don't need to sell, and Torres at £50m + Carroll at £35m, seems very fair.

Martin Odegaard is off to Real Madrid apparently as they've promised him first team football, I'd be very surprised if he got in to the team considering the talent they have, should have gone somewhere else in my opinion, Ajax would have been a fantastic choice with the youth set up they have.

Why is the window open so long? Why don't they just make it a week then that would force people to do business quickly instead of leaving it to the last minute like someone leaving it to the last minute to study for an exam.

Bloody pantomime.

Laughable, would love too of seen the face of Ancelotti telling this kid gullible that news. Okay, he'll train with quality players, but you need the game time to develop, can see his career stalling & being loaned with a year.

He wanted a permanent move, we only interested in a month loan. Why would we want Schwarzer on a free transfer, when in a month we will have Krul & Elliott back, along with Darlow next summer.
