Haha I dont worry, if hes any good he'll be gone in a season and if hes not he'll throw a strop when you're 16th and Steve has lost the plot.

Foster will be fully fit for the start of the season. He's also been the best keeper Albion have had for decades. The number of points he steals for us is incredible.

I'm with Azzy, best keeper we've had in a long while, not just my lifetime(a short sample period).
All the reports keep saying we want Myhill tied down to a new deal. I think we'll probably sign Hennessey and he'll be number 1 till Foster comes back. Then he can become number 2, and we'll look to loan Myhill out to a championship club with the potential to get a little bit of a fee for him.
We were linked with Embolo from Basel yesterday

West Brom offered 5m for Antonio.
It got rejected because we cant spend it.

Haven't been impressed with Pulis this window at all.
As for Di Maria, looks like he's agreed to join PSG for £43m.

Northern press suggesting that the club have squeezed an extra million out of Boro for Downing, £500k guaranteed and £500k in bonuses.
Fee £5.5m, rising to £7m.
Just tomorrow's medical left.

So I'm guessing FFP will be gone by next year.

Daryl Murphy signs extension with Ipswich.
You get the feeling they'll be regretting not taking the ridiculous fee being offered for him, just like they are with McGoldrick and bizarrely not taking 8m for him last season.
When you get offered £5m for a 32 year old striker who's had one good season in his career(last season) you should really take it

Especially when you consider that RVP was sold for less than at whilst being both younger and infinitely better.

To be fair, if they keep him on that form and improve elsewhere they might go up. Thats better than £5m.

His own history would suggest that last season was an anomaly. You dont turn down 5m for a 32 year old striker without a prolific record in the 2nd division.

Valdes to leave Utd confirms LVG - refused to play for the reserves last season appears to be the reason.

2nd division team spends £11m on Ross McCormack. Its a changing world.

This Valdes stuff does make sense considering United's reported interest in Sergio Romero. Them and Roma want him. Surprised hes a free agent.

£5m for a 25 year old Championship midfielder. When will Albion learn? For £5m you can get a quality international midfielder from overseas. Clasie for £8m vs Antonio for £5m makes me sick.

Valdes is better off out of OT, if your not favoured by the big man, you get treated like ****. Respect goes both ways & Louis has totally belittled a solid professional, who's won everything in the game. Guess the genius that is Louis will just blow another sackful cash sort it all out.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
He signed knowing the deal, if he didn't like being number two he shouldn't have signed should he but I guess the money was too good to turn down.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
VV knew when he signed that Utd had a WC keeper in DDG, that he was coming back from injury and that there weren't particularly that many clubs banging on his door. Utd rehabilitated his injury, got him match fit but like any player and especially a keeper who's being brought in at the time as a no2 then he has to play reserve games. To refuse to do so is unprofessional.LiamB wrote:Valdes is better off out of OT, if your not favoured by the big man, you get treated like ****. If a player at any club refused to do that then you'd expect the manager to get rid. The only issue is LVG using the public domain to state it, certainly agree it should have been kept private, let him leave out of the back door and move on.
It's very much likw Sir Alex though to make sure the players know that players do not dictate their terms of play.

He had played for them a few times, but if he refused once then it's too many times. Nothing wrong with getting rid, makes complete sense.

I suspect most of that was down to travelling with the 1st team squad most of them games seem to be 2 days before a game or 2 days after.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
Even so, you ask a player to play in the reserves then they play in the reserves there are no ifs and buts. 2nd keepers often go long periods without getting match time, they need to ensure they have match practice.
When Tevez refused to come on for City everyone was in agreement then that the player should be offloaded, no difference here.

It doesn't bother me either way tbh im quite hoping you do sell him cos Romero is epically Poopie
Unless De Gea gets a new girlfriend he'll be packing his bags aswell. 2 keepers in a window with Begovic gone & Lloris now injured. Ill be surprised if United want to risk losing 20-30m over De Gea tbh

Same group who came through with Lamela Iturbe. Moved from River Plate to UAE cos he got 20% of the $10m transfer fee. Seems a lovely little dribbler but I don't think hes got substance so it surprises me that you might be interested.

Yeah, no. of journalists stating the deal is done to Newcastle. Good signing & proven goal scorer, wouldn't of paid £15m though. I'd imagine that calls off the Mitrovic deal as we need to spend heavily elsewhere.

On FIFA or Football Manager, because in reality, that certainly isn't the case.
