With England now being "OUT" OF THE RUGBY WORLD CUP. They clearly have nothing too lose.
SO all the players in the 31 who have not played a game yet should be given their chance.
The likes of Danny Care starting at 9 and Wigglworth on the bench.
Easter and Kruse, Slade etc etc.
what do you think.
What have they got too lose?
Nothing.

I agree with Robbo here, this is where the catharsis starts and you have to have a target. England need to go through the phases for 80 and show us the game management and intensity that they have somewhere. I would try to get the players relaxed before the game however as I feel the pressure is impeding their performance

All the players that are in the team this week would not of got any game at all if the team was going into the next round.
Why oh Why is Owen Farrell in the team? again?
I guess if your father is one of the coaches you will all ways be in the team come what may.
It is supposed to be a 31 man squad after all. but why wait untill it is too late to give every other player game time?
We are where we are, we are not in the next round, therefore the game should be used to see what players can achieve, i.e. can Slade play 12 at this level. I cannot see any reason for playing Farrell, bench cover yes but it is another opportunity to try out a very skilful player in a position we are struggling with and see how he would go with our main strike runner and back three.

Is it fashionable to moan about Farrell being in the team? People seem to forget we have had some of our biggest wins with Farrell in the team.

bit worried about this game, either the team will be united and play well or they'll be disinterested and play like a bunch of individuals

Uh-oh, we've got 45 minutes to fill on TV before the match.
Presumably, the original thinking was that we would know what England had to do to qualify, and could spend the time turning over the permutations.
Not to be.

i dont think the RFU or the ENgland coaching team had a choice in the timings. I would suspect World Rugby control it all with the broadcasters around the world.

Obviously. People tend to concentrate on the teams still in the competition, hence my focus being on the two quarter finalsists in Pool A.
And by the way, you're.

Lets keep it to the game

Re: England v Uruguay
Strange one this - I'll enjoy watching it because it's England but it'll be good to get it out of the way and move on from a disastrous World Cup campaign. Who knows what will happen in the England set up but I'm pretty sure better times are around the corner and there'll be plenty of opportunities to settle some scores and restore a bit of pride. Watching Wales and Aus today there is not too much shame in losing to either of those teams...

Well of cause why bother with this Rugby World Cup? Win or lose tonight it does not matter ( we are out ) of our own rugby world cup.
So why not concentrate on planning now for the next Rugby World Cup?

The maturity shown by Cipriani is great to see. What a different man he is from the one who burst onto the scene all those years ago.

Only 74 minutes left of Lancaster's reign. Farrell, Cole and Robshaw the only survivors from his first ever game, over three and a half years ago.

It does feel like a circus though.... or Christians being fed to the lions. The poor Uruguayans haven't a hope in absolute hell of resisting this. The game should have been called off.

Oh yeah - I forgot that the crowd love cheering every time a Christian has his head taken off. Gotta whet the appetite of the audience with the thumbs down...
