Hard to believe that is possible but pictures don't lie.... or do they?

I would have thought the snake could easily get out of a small spider web. Although I have had the experience of walking into a bigger web strung up across a footpath and almost rebounding back off it - without breaking it initially. It was like a fishing line. Have no idea what sort of spider made it.

I noticed something unusual today. The pool (with a few inches of water in the deep end) being viciously guarded by a bright red dragon fly. Anything that flew near was scared away by it. I watched it chase off some insect... then quickly wing it back to the edge of the water to admire its territory a few steps back from the water... like a sunbather on a beach... scanning the ocean for any sign of an alien insect intrusion (or distressed swimmer).

Much cooler at night now... around 13 deg C (just before sunrise) but very pleasant during the day... mid 20s. Today was almost perfect... tomorrow is expected to be the same.
