Morning all (except Galted who seems determined to drive a wedge between me and Tina even though it's impossible as he's my favourite which I don't know if I've mentioned at all...but he is. So Galted, f*ck off and go admire your sh!t clothes in the polished bodywork of some c*nt's fancy car)

Yeah, you're right. I was very disappointed with the ending. Not happy at all after such a fine start.

An interesting argument from rick on the parkrun thread.
Who should pay for all the excessive wear & tear on public parks caused by stampeding hoards of freeloading people at any given time, whenever and wherever they want... all organised by a non-profit organisation who don't pay any maintenance costs on said parks.
Might be something for sean in this. I can see lots of turf needing to be replaced at the end of a long, hot summer.

Afternoon TLD, to be fair my original question was merely to dare to suggest that it may, after all, be running at a profit...
I know not the answer to this, but if they are, then some of said profit should go to the upkeep and maintenance of the extra wear and tear caused by the people doing it...
If it is not for profit entirely, then fair enough.
At this point I am just seeing if I can get a bite to be honest...

Remember not to break into a sniggering fit next time someone says "i'm being Frank" or "i'll be frank with you".
Re: The Culture Cup Round x - Adam is a naughty naughty boy
Yes I can see that, Rick.
Toppy was scratching like a trapped cat when you suggested having a look at the books.
Have a feeling some of these not for profit organisations are raking it in and not fully disclosing (or muddying the waters so to speak) when it comes to their accounting methodology.

Probably close to home (or the Caymans or whatever) when it comes to the old personal finances...
How is the weather in the antipodes today mate? Has it now calmed down?

He's worried that if they start charging em to use parks, they'll have to use the roads again and he'll have to get road tax on himself again
Re: The Culture Cup Round x - Adam is a naughty naughty boy
I think he's just on some sort of runner's high after deciding to get into running. Have to hand it to him in that respect. Good on him.

Yeah but he comes across as a pretentious tosspiece. I like to ride, but I don't pratter on about it like some sort of chuffing expert.

Frank might appreciate the occasional mention though and some flowers every once in a while

I take your point. He's kind of a harmless pretentious tosspiece though.
What sort of horse do you ride these days?
