The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Great opening. I thought Gilroy was going to go over there, he had no right to go an inch forward!

Well that's exactly what we need to do. It'll be interesting to see which of these 10s gets more time with Ulster next year.

Tackle down low. They look stronger than us up high. Need to chop them down early.

Jeez, we can't afford any more poor goalkicking. Both Jackson and McKinney are very good but have had some very poor misses so far this tournament.
And they are just scything through us.

We sure do, we can't afford to leak soft points or they will hammer us.

Yes, good from our scrum there! Now if Annett can get it right from touch we'll have a bit of momentum.

We were lucky to hang onto the ball after that lineout. Terrible pass from Marmion puts us under pressure but we hang on for a penalty.
McKinney lines it up...

he, Marmion. A guy I went to school with had that as a middle name. Such an old fashioned name! Always makes me chuckle though.
Glad Ireland got that kick but SA hit back with one of their own

Conway had his mind on the try, not the ball. Savage skip pass from Hanrahan there though. Reasons to be cheerful.

Scrum is good. Mckinney is settling down with his kicking. We are showing we can open them up. 3 reasons to be hopeful. Must stay with them up to half-time.

Is anyone else getting so frustrated with how long Marmion takes to get to the breakdown?

I am actually going to laugh at that name every time I read/hear it. Can't help myself.

Hanrahan has a lot of talent. Remember Munsty coming on the old 606 after reffing a game involving Rockwell and speaking very highly of him. It's important that both he and Luke Marshall get exposure at this level and I'm glad he hasn't lost out.

Feck. Too many missed first up tackles. The Boks are getting over the advantage line far too easily.

Just as i praise him. Poor from Coneely in fairness to Hanrahan though, he was caught between two stools

Lovely show from Boks openside and he glides thru the gap, eventually out the IC who crosses the whitewash

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
that was a good SA try, bit too easy though.
Gibbo - I can't help that I live so close to the stadium that I can hear them. Seriously Cardiff has been overrun with women in their 30's and above, tis actually quite scary....
evening Cari! I'm still trying to recover from the Wales U20's match.
Prop - ah really? that explains all the noise this early on in the evening then...
