The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Some of the Scots and English lads look out on their feet - no quarter given, none asked. Don't care if this was an England 'B' team, we've given them a fright

90, they've hit 90. Surely no time for the ton though? 92 in fact.

Wade scampers in at the corner off turnover ball, Scotland trying to push the game to go for the win, converted 32-18

92 - 0 FT. Thank goodness that's over.
Glimmers of hope from Iolo Evans and Liam Williams....that's pretty much it. Kirby Myhill threw in a bit better I guess....
Yeah that really is it. Ouch.
What's the score in the Eng v Sco game?

I'm guessing that Morgan wasn't selected as he might be a defensive liability. Bad choice considering the whole side was a liability in defence.

Ah Poopie, lovely break from Gray from the base of a scrum, Wade right on his elbow and in for his hat-trick in his favourite corner - Scotland totally out of gas now 39-18 - full-time

It was Notch but more importantly is that there looked to be some good players in that side as this is a development tournament remember.

39-18 win for England. A flattering scoreline in the end. Scotland played very well, better than I've seen them perform of late. England will have to step up their performance if they're going to compete with the 3N teams. I think the Boks will beat them, they haven't showed enough direction.

Gilroy on the wing. Will be interesting to see O'Halloran at 15. I am curious about this lad Hanrahan at 12 too.

Gilroy is playing. He's on the wing.
We need to win this game so we can get into the 5-8 placings.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Watched that with a couple of Scots in the Thornbury. All in agreement, it was a really good game.
D. Weir aside, who has ML experience, Bennett at 13 and Gossman look like backs that should add something to Scotland's back line in the future.
Owen Farrell wasn't all that, but England's wide players were always threatening. Wade showed his 7s skills with a great 2nd half run. Had it been ickle Shane Welsh fans would have been drooling.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I'm hoping for much, much more from our forwards this time Gibbo. They'll need it.
Last time out our second rows were absent, our lineout was poor and we were turned over a fair bit. Just hoping for more of a platform against a very powerful pack.

Ireland's Call is alright and everything, but they could fairly get rid of the key change in the end. Pure trash pop.

:run1::run2:
Only know what happened in the u20's match from reading back. Richard Webster needs to take a long hard look at himself for his team selections for the past two games. What possible sense dies it make to start a second team against the All Blacks? Sometimes I think all the theories and the advantages of sport science mean that coaches don't use basic common sense.
