The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Ah Cari, I bet that was a really good one.
One thing I find that stops me reading/writing/listening to things as much as I would like is the blydi internet! The amount of time I spend on here is really v bad. I keep trying to cut down but can't seem to manage it. I'm sure I'd be much more productive without it.

Dreamer I agree entirely. It worries me a great deal.

WALES - THE 2011 RWC WINNERS STORY
A fantasy by Penfro Pete
"I was there when Wales won the Webb Elliss trophy, Sunday 23/10/2011 , avenging their 15-21 loss to Namibia in the pool stages, beating the Welwitschias 47 - 23 in a 6 try romp. THE END"
Do I win ?

I'm keenly aware of that too, Dreamer. The evening's come and gone sometimes and I've been on the laptop the whole time.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
It really is a bit of a problem with me. Like I've got my writing book open right besides me but I'm still logged into here.
Going to have to see if I can go a couple of evenings a week without the internet, the fact that I know I'm going to find that hard is not good at all!
On another note, I've just tuned into Stage of Origin on Sky Sports for the match between New South Wales and Queensland...it just confirms to me that I really don't like league!
Penfro - I love that story, you get my vote

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Dreamer I found I did my best writing in Ghana - no internet, no tv. Just books and writing. I wrote pages every day - writing what I saw and just random stuff. And I read so many books.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Stag - yeah I always write more when I'm at home. The computer's a pain to log onto (not because it's slow, just because the room it's in at home is freezing ) and we don't have all that many channels on the tv there. Plus I'm right out in the countryside so just can go for a walk up the mountain, sit down and just write. I love it.
I'm been ordered (which I don't mind!) home next weekend now as well so will hopefully get some done then. Got the Cwmdu fete on the Sat (that's the village next door to mine) and having a family meal on the Sunday. Can't wait

I'm not bad with the internet at home because I find myself doing other things. I think sometimes I'm quite anti-social on the internet cause I don't say much but lurk more.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I think people are becoming over social on the internet. My Dad actually signing up to facebook today. He sent me a request. Strange he never told me.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
to be fair I only really use the internet to come on here, the book of face and to watch sport. I used to be a part of quite a few writing sites in my teens but have stopped that now.
Stag - ha my Mam signed up on fbook and tried to add me as a friend. She didn't stay on it long though, really not her thing.

Dreamer - na he looks good considering he's had four wives...
Staggy - Simon Le Bon's 53 and I would too, although he needs to ditch the beard. Doesn't look good.
Thomond - apparently so, but Bean's hard as nails so he was OK

Ah yeah I am still watching it, enjoying it a bit more this 2nd half. Disgusting amount of high tackles going in though.

ha Stag, never knew he was your type
I confess in those films whilst he was very yummy I got distracted by a lot of the other men!
And speaking of older men, I quite like Liam Neeson too.

Dreamer - has Neeson had some surgery? He looks like he's had some work done around the eyes. That's what puts me off him these days (if he has), but when I saw him in Michael Collins in the cinema yonks ago he looked scrummy tho.
I saw Seany Bean in a crepe remake of The Hitcher the other night, he looked tasty in that even though he was playing an evil character.
Staggy - ah you enjoy it...we had a nice chat about Wally once

Cheryl is dark Staggy - haven't you seen her do the hair swish on the Loreál adverts?
I tell you who I think looks great these days is Jennifer Lopez. She's not a stick insect either which makes a change.

Yea but she's also a Flip muppet. Its the way she comes across that makes her less attractive in my eyes.
Speaking of eyes, a good set of eyes is great. 3 kinds that I really like. Bright blue eyes. Cheeky green eyes. Seductive brown eyes. I'm a sucker for all three.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Three eyes? That'd be weird Staggy
Just read Mila's Wiki page. Do you notice how Eastern Europeans sometimes Anglicise their names a bit? My mum did that when she moved over here too.

Hmm, Mila Kunis.
Stag doesn't like Halle Berry which to me is like the one guy you meet who doesn't like chocolate or ice cream or something. And nobody can quite understand it

Its true alright. My girlfriend says that she'll introduce herself as Natalia. However if people call her Natalie she's ok with it.

Afternoon all
Question for dreamer, Glas or any of the Welsh contingent actually.
What is Ed Siggery like as a player, we've just signed him from the Scarlets?

Staggy - easily done as those names sound similar. I suppose that actress did it to get into Hollywood films.
Pete - I think Glas/Dreamer's probably your best bet to answer that.

Pete - can't say I know too much about him, don't recall him playing for the Scarlets so he must have just been more a Llanelli player. Sorry I'm so little help! Am sure Glas will know more.
And I Sharpe, can't help it, have got myself the box set and everything!
Also just set up my Sky broadband, tis soooo fast, no more rubbish internet off the dongle for me!
