The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Basically, my only impression of Siggery is of him losing his head yesterday and dump tackling a NZ player after the ball had gone into touch. He didn't look good, but then who did for Wales?

A poor decision Notch to start naming names. Be careful you forget nobody.

I am it for it now lucky- but I still don't know why!
I am sure our English regs know themselves I mean no harm, and I don't wish to forget anybody... This was a mistake.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Just listened to an amusing discussion on the radio about DIY. They reckon that most adults should be able to wire a plug, fill a crack in the wall, hang a wall fitting (like a TV), put up a shelf, paint and decorate. Just wondered if any of our regs are good at this stuff? I'm not too bad. I can wire a plug and put small pictures up. Bit iffy with plumbing though...I used to be rubbish and woodwork and metalwork at school too.

Radge - I thought she'd be grateful for the help! Sometimes I could do with someone about the place to do stuff for me, but I have to give it a go myself first. Usually means a lot of swearing but it gets just about done.

I used to help my Dad will all that sort of stuff when I was younger Cari, haven't really had any sort of need to try and do it myself though, reckon I'd be okay at it though.

Dreamer - I think if you read the instructions on things carefully you can get away with doing some bits. Being patient too helps.
Lucky - they were saying on the radio that there's a generation of kids who haven't got a cluie how to do such things because they don't learn it so much now. I learnt to do more stuff from my mum. Her dad was a carpenter so she was pretty good with DIY.

There’s really nothing like changing a plug using just a steak knife. It’s pretty much the most manly thing in the world…

Not a shoe, a paint can though. That worked a treat!

Lucky - did you see that programme Jamie Oliver did a while ago? He was in a primary school showing the children various fruit and vegetables and half of them had no idea what they were. There was also a woman on there who didn't know how to boil a pan of water on the stove for food preparation.

On the Amlin thread I said Florence was 'a hell of an away destination,' which sounds like I think Florence is a horrible place to visit. I mean quite the opposite!

May I wish both the Chiefs and Dragons all the best of luck against Perpignan, they're one tough side.
It was an amazing away trip according to Scarlets fans who went this season, so I'm sure whoever goes is going to enjoy it!

It's a bit odd having no Irish representation in the Amlin since the rules changed. Keep on expecting to see Connacht there.

I agree Notch. Surely it's not fair that we have no representation. It's almost like we are being penalised for our success. Shouldn't we still be entitled to enter a team?

Both Notch. No I'm being semi serious here actually. We've gained an extra HEC spot but we aren't been able to maximise the benfit on this one because we lose our amlin spot. Surely we could have had a plan in place for this. For example why can't we put a team together made up of development players from all the provinces?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Pete, Penfo beat me to it. Siggery is a pocket battleship blind side. He's played a lot for Ponty and looked allright. Bit young for a final assessment. Can be a bit lacking in the top two inches. In one of the under 20 games the other side did a back row move. The Ref was in the way and he just stopped and put his arms up, they scored. A sharp operator would have run straight into the ref bowling him over making sure he knew therefore he was in the way and making the try less likely.

Could people pm me any links to kits they get as I will add them to the section - they get a great response on Twitter.

dreamer, you're not wrong - they were on the same flight as us last season when we flew to and from Beziers for the Montpellier fixture out of Brizzle airport - they'd all had a cracking time despite the result
