I'll never forgive Hugh Grant for planting the seed in my mind that Liz Hurley might withhold sex and/or blowies. She's otherwise always seemed filthy.

Jeff seems to be descending into a hellscape that he refers to as 'Boxing Twitter'. He seems to know it's a hellscape but he has no inclination to get out. It's screaming out for an intervention.

Rwanda? I don't get it. It's a disincentive I suppose. That'll cost a fortune to ship people there, surely?

I didn't insert a fist today out of respect for Jesus Christ and his ongoing troubles with His father, which came to a head this weekend some years back.

Still recovering from a lacklustre Easter, Super. No, really it was OK. Nice weather. How are you?
Anzac Day is not far off as you say. I might go down the road to the local and watch some of the wowsers flip the coins. People tend to drink a lot and get overexcited but I'll grab a quiet spot next to the wall and keep an eye on the barbecue. It was free food there one year and I get on well with the publican. They had a Saffa bloke doing it... quite a character. Very generous with the servings.
As an aside. Think it was 3 years back now. Amongst the crowd was some old war veteran. Dripping with medals. Must have been well into his 90s. His grand-daughter... or maybe even great-grand daughter (a hot sort but inappropriately dressed I thought... though I didn't complain!) was all smiles and getting into the festivities. I went up to the old chap, who seemed a bit overwhelmed by the commotion of the two-up, and quietly thanked him for his services. His face lit up a bit and he expressed some humble gratitude that I'd said what I'd said. I had that distinct feeling that he was thinking that all of the boozers just use the day as another excuse to get trashed and soon forget the real purpose of the commemoration. Or maybe not....

Anzac Day is a bit odd and have only experienced it once. The parade in the morning had a bit more of a celebratory feel than I was expecting (particularly compared to our Remembrance Day parades) but I didn't mind it as it seemed a nice way of celebrating the living as well as commemorating the dead. The rest of the day was a bit of a drunken haze and had nothing to do with commemoration, but was enjoyable all the same. Finished off the day at the SCG watching the Swannies overcome a massive deficit in the final period to beat the Demons.

That is probably the best summary of Anzac Day I've ever read. Yes, it's really like that.
Solemn commemorations and the marches in the morning... then it's footy for the rest of the day and hitting the booze well into the night.
Those Swans games can be epic encounters. I need to get out there again and use my membership more.

Went to one of these pointless farmer's markets on the Friday which was a bit crap, and to an 'art' and 'antiques' fair on the Monday which was also crap.
Was good to provide jr with a whole new audience for his tantrums when trying to smash up a whole new range of items.

Re: Music Section Morning Tea Society
Just did one of those political compass polls. Bloody hell. I'm neither here nor there.
Here are my results:
LNP (Cons) 41.25%
ALP (Labour) 39.375%
Greens/Others 19.375%
So to summarise, I'm a fraction to the top right of the cross hairs.
I'm basically just north of the middle part of a battery towards the end with the + bump.
Harsh and pragmatic in some respects but kind and caring in other things. Well, well, well...
Don't know whether to be proud or ashamed of this result. Maybe I'm just a stopped clock and need some winding up?

Did you go away, Galted... or go to any nearby tourist attractions?
Went to one of these pointless farmer's markets on the Friday which was a bit crap, and to an 'art' and 'antiques' fair on the Monday which was also crap.
Was good to provide jr with a whole new audience for his tantrums when trying to smash up a whole new range of items.
I thought Pee Jay was suggesting that Galtova was a tourist attraction.
Oh. In that case, yes.
Were you the guy wearing the top hat and tails? I was the guy at the other end wearing nothing but a Next jumper.
I think we breached CC rules.
That was you? I never realised thimbles could be used like that,
I never realised you could end a sentence with a comma,
Your sentence ended with two commas, just the type of content which makes membership of this particular society worthwhile.
'Girlfriend in a comma',
Comma, comma, comma, comma, comma chameleon,
Comma Eileen.
