First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence

So pull up a chair....what'll it be? appletini

Reset.

As a diver for near 30 years, I am loving this BEEB program.Journey to the Bottom Of The Ocean. But that gobshoite is presenting it. It's such a waste. Wondrous content and an apprentice Jeremy Clarkson - dick, presenting it.

For me, the Deep Blue is like travelling in Deep Space. Jacque Cousteau and Carl Sagan.
But this 2nd-hand car salesman?! Hammond. Dont think so.

BEEB. For shame!

Give me that long-haired, intuitive, intelligent - Scottish bhoy, who presents Coast. Perfect match.

I dived off Monterrey. Bottom drops away into an inner-space.

Gibbo,

Hope you're ok. You are a lovely man. Do you wanna get rocked?

Just finishing up in work. Very wet. Calgary is still awesome though. Had an amazing steak in the Calgary Tower last night. Expensive, so of course you get what you pay for.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Love the place. Pretty west of Canada. Second time here, as I came here four years ago.

Keep smiling pal. The World is a better place when you're all mellow.

See you all later.

I apologise for bringing politics into the pub, but Ed Balls is an absolute kumquat. Don't trust many politicians, but the ones that look down the camera rather than at the interviewer are decidedly dodgy. In other news I worked up a smoking tan today.

Just imagine how it feels having the tawt as your MP. Interesting that he's still banging the reduce VAT drum. It didn't work when Labour were in charge and got us in this situation.

I've had Iris Robinson as an MPp; you've got to feel it doesn't get any lower than that.

Thing is, I could take your 'imagine how it feels having that Kumquat as your MP' and apply it to pretty much every mainstream politician in England.

That makes me glad I'm not English, and annoyed they make the laws for us.

Devolution max!

Disagree about devolution Notch. There's still far far too much tribalism in Stormont, and I can't see that changing anytime soon. More powers heading here would be an unmitiged disaster at the moment IMO. Look at the footage of the riots and that burning car being aimed at the police. A small minority are a disgrace, that's the sort of thing you'd expect in Libya not here. We need looking after.

I'd seriously like to see Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland try and go their own way without the financial support of English taxpayers. I don't think it would be pretty, worse than Greece I suspect.

Evening all. I'll avoid the politics except to point out that I had Gerry Brownlee as my electorate MP back home. The only good thing about that is that he was no longer failing to teach woodwork to school boys at St Bedes. And now the **** is Minister in charge of rebuilding Chch steam

To top it off, winning player of the match is no fun when your team loses furious

Scotland have the oil? England reaped the benefits. Thatcher saw to that. Welsh coal fed the Empire.

Paddies, Taffs and Jocks fought for it. But we're all grown up now aren't we?
