The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?
FYI, the last pub was :

Our very own Cari was centre stage last night as she collected the soils at the pub quiz on behalf of team "stephen hawking's football boots".

Morning all.
So further to yesterdays talk, the GF got through her first nasty procedure last night with flying colours......
Next one is more dangerous but at least she'll be zonked for that. Good times in the Ona household.
On a rugby front, I see England are sweating on Lawes??/ Never wish that on any player but especially a young one.....

Morning all, happy Friday!
OnA - that's brilliant news, hope everything else goes well for her
Mick - exciting times picking up the keys to your new place, enjoy it!
Hughie - hope the day goes quick for you! I hate having to work when you know the start of your holidays are only a few hours away.
and what's this about Lawes? Not sure I've seen anything on that.

Good morning all. Yes happy Friday, and happy two week holidays Hughie. I'm glad I will get to help you ruin it next weekend
Nice sunny day here. I'm off shortly for a site visit in Bangor, Co. Down. About a 60 mile journey but should be good in the nice weather.
Captain's Day at the Golf Club tomorrow. That would be our Major. I've been trying to win it for the past 20 years!
Now where have I heard that recently .................. ??

Injured in England trial match, as was Strettle and one or two others are carrying knocks - but nothing too serious, I believe

Rava, 19? sound like a bandit to me buddy.. I won't be giving you that handicap when we go out for a game pal..
Morning all, was lovely to see Cari again last night, even if I was on the h20 and absolutely shattered.
But I slept my sweet ass off last night so hoping to be better spirits today.
incidentally it was lovely to see Mickado as well since I hadn't seen him in must be about 7-8 weeks as well.. He has a beard now.

Hold fire on that duvet cover Rav, I think I have some old gear that the dog used to sleep on. I’ll use that instead
Mick, I know this probably doesn’t make any sense, but I forgot I had a beard until you told me.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Well, it was serious enough to take 10 mins on field treatment, ambo to hospital, scans and a night in.
Hopefully the guy will be fine. Maybe the paper played it out top be worse that it is.
It is an unfortunate time though, every year somebody loses somebody pre tournament. I just hope Ireland had their quota of injuries filled this year already, it was some list to be fair.......

Text me this morning to say she was heading into town, I think she’s meeting up with a woman she met on the plane who was travelling alone. Which will be nice because I won’t get back to her until this evening.

Happy Friday to you to staggy.
Luck, I can't either. dreadful. I was telling the guys last night I hadn't shaved in 2-3 days and there is literally nothing there.
During school when all the boys where developing hair etc. I spent a year telling them I was trying to be a swimmer hence the lack of hair on my legs.

A question for Chef when he comes in, or for anyone else if they know: does it look like Aurelien Rougerie's going to be fit for the World Cup? I thought he looked quality at centre in the Six Nations (against England in particular) and could be a star there at the World Cup.

I would say it's a blessing.
Morning all. Or good night from me. Just in from a night out. 2:55 here in Calgary.
Kado, all the best butt.
I hope Cari is going to the GAA thing. If I made an effort to travel somewhere and my team weren't playing I'd still have to go. Especially if I liked the sport concerned.
Anyway, nos da from me. Up in 4 hours for a bit of work, then off to Edmonton. I hope that place is as good.

Arra i'm only jokin Glas, Rav knows that.
Had a moment of inspriation at the quiz lads, they do 3music questions, they play the intro to a song and you give the artist/band name. The quiz master goes "ok, final music question of the night, this one is from 1999" and before the music started up i said "madison avenue" and what bleedin song was it?

Just watching the ITM Cup. Not the best conditions but they still go for it. Why can't players up here have the same attitude towards the game?

Early age coaching. Too much emphasis on winning at youth level. Not enough on playing.
