Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the David Wallace photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

When i played cricket i bowled right handed and batted left handed as did my father. My grandad bowled left handed and batted right handed. Although we are all right handed.
Oh and Australia will win the world cup. Every self respecting Aussie will want to upset the New Zealand party it is destiny believe.

Bore da pawb - . Had an absolutely brilliant weekend down "Sir Benfro". Big meal with the family on Saturday night was the highlight, Mam & Dad, Brother & his family, Aunties, Uncles, Cousins .. just great Haven't seen any of the games from the weekend, but reading back seems like Oz v AB's was light years ahead of anything from the NH ??
Right/Left handed ? - Right handed for everything, kick everything left footed

Howdy Rhino, how's things?
I still think the All Blacks are favourites to win the World Cup. It looked ominous the way they got it back to 20 all on Saturday.

Right/Left handed - I was a bit ambidextrous as a child but pretty much completely right handed now. Do random things like opening doors with my left hand though.
And morning all, finally back in the Diff (an Olympic athlete sat next to me on the train!!) after a fabulous weekend at hold. Also brought my Wii back with me so hoping to get my fitness work back up and running

Things are good mate how are they with you? Looking forward to the 17th now.
The future is gold believe. As long as Cooper does nothing stupid.
Don't forget the Aussies have won the tournament twice before when the All Blacks were huge favourites they just love to do it.
I hope for some classic matches thought i am particularly looking forward to the All Blacks clash with the French i think the French may target the All Black scrum.

Was SOB injured prior to last weekend?comments
I ask because some of the comments after the France game here in the pub about his performance.
He stays for me the best player in the Irish team along with BOD.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I am pretty much ambidextrous. In my younger days I regularly used to use it my advantage challenging people to games of snooker/pool/darts/table tennis and promising to play left handed. I did nearly get punched as result once though, which wasn't great, but them's the breaks.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I'm good thanks, Rhino - haven't got my season ticket yet but it's all paid for.
France looked very good indeed when they played Ireland in Dublin, even though they started and ended the match indifferently (Ireland started brilliantly, in fairness). Their pack is strong and they have quality behind too. If they can be consistent, who knows, it could be their year.

Who's this Olympic athlete you sat next to, Dreamer? I sat near Dominic Dale, aka the Spaceman, on a train once, but I don't really mention it much.

I'll switch hands playing squash if I need to reach further to the right. Though my left-handed backhand is as powerful as my right-handed forehand so it's only a question of reach (a left-handed back-hand is almost the same motion as a right-handed cover-drive without the RH on the bat - and the cover-drive is one of my favourite cricket shots).

He looked as if he could of stopped for a cup of tea and still won.
Lucky i don't think the season tickets will be available until just before the Aironi match. Also i may shell out for the new white jersey. At least its not black or amber.

We're doing ok. No major injuries at hooker, prop, lock, scrum-half or outhalf which are the key specialist positions.

that he did Rhino!
Reckon I'm going to buy myself a new Scarlets jersey this Sunday, haven't had a new one for about 4 seasons now so reckon I shall treat myself. The weeks is going to drag until then I think, just can't believe the new season is almost starting!

I have never purchased a Dragons jersey before. I may weep as the money leaves my account.
I can't believe that i have to wait until the 17th for the first home match because of some ridiculously horrific looking stand.

greybeard - stay of course!
Rhino - seriously, you've never bought one? Reckon a white one will be really nice mind
Ouch 17th? aye that is a wait. The stand isn't that bad though, is it?
Scarlets have got home ones on the 4th and 24th. the one on the 24th is Llanelli + Scarlets combined history's 5000th game, and it looks like I'm going to miss it. Gutted.

Never bought one i can't stand black or amber. Red and white are much nicer colours.
The new stand looks horrific if you are staring at it all match. Hopefully it will look better if they ever manage to fill it.

I'm thinking about buying the new home jersey, I really like it. They didn't have any in the shop on Saturday and I'll need to try one on to see what size to get.

Can't stand it. Reminds me of the Wales world cup away jersey.
Will you need to try on the junior sizes again?

I shall keep my fingers crossed for big crowds then for you Rhino!
Ooo Jessica Ennis is about to run in the 800m, she's in 2nd place in the Heptathlon, just don't think she's got enough in her to get gold, the javelin really messed her up.

I like it, Rhino, it reminds me of Toulouse's jersey (their new jersey is horrible, though). I might end up having to get a junior one, which would save me a tenner so it's not too bad.

I'm so left sided it's untrue, except when hitting a a golf ball, which I don't do very often. Before I had a touchscreen phone, I founf it easier to text right handed for some reason. I throw like a girl when trying to throw right handed.

Some very sad news;the vet has given a maximum of 6 weeks before Loupa succumbs to her heart+ problems.
WE are really gutted, but dogs of her size(60Kgs) rarely live as long as she has.
So,it's foie gras, caviar and confit de canard a volonte for the old girl.
HERSH, nice to see you've resuscitated ,where've you been hiding?BTW, no girls on here, only ladies.
