The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of pub regulars. We've got the big group pic from the HEC final in Cardiff, plus insets of ll those who couldn't make it
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Yeah I just think it's so unusual for a red to be given (even if it is correct). Generally it's nearly always yellows, even in this wc, I think that's why it's so shocking. Kind of makes you wonder why other ref's aren't sticking to the directives like Rolland is.

Good afternoon all you lovely people - spent a lovely afternoon on the heath with the children and Hoog - played some rugby, built a den, climbed some trees and managed to fit in a few cheeky on the way home - a grand day out!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I think other refs are giving yellows and leaving it for the citing commission to sort out. Which is wrong, because if they were following the directives this wouldn't have come as such a shock. No-one wants to see red cards handed out lightly, but a few more before the RWC for similar offences and maybe teams would have been more mindful before one of the biggest games of the season.

The refs that have been leaving it for the citing comissioner were admonished in the findings i believe as well.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Took my daughter to chapel where she was singing this afternoon. 4 or 5 young kids were crossing the road and one mooned two old dears in the car in front of us. My parents were livid, but what do you do?
Apart from that I've been up ladders sawing low branches off a couple of trees in front of the house, been sorting out firewood and called up to see the outlaws in the castle. Father in law had a bump yesterday trying to stop his jeep running into the shop window. They had a wedding on so it was all very dramatic.

Sorry Glas but that made me burst out laughing. Sunday drive shocker!
I don't like unruly kids, but I like kids with a bit of sass. They need it later in Life. As long as they were not rioting, fighting or throwing stones... its just high-jinks.
Hope the Father-in-Law is ok man.

Yes, he's fine. He's just stiff enough to keep the mother in law off his case the jeep has a big dent in the bumper, the sandwich board sign is in bits as is one picnic table. Apart from him nobody was hurt though.

Tis true, JC, like many of the yooffs in here, the lad should be in a child-caring/child-teaching profession in the middle of bedtime stories now, struggling to justify how the Irish invented modern medicine thoGibson wrote:AsLongAsBut100ofUs wrote:Good afternoon all you lovely people - spent a lovely afternoon on the heath with the children and Hoog - played some rugby, built a den, climbed some trees and managed to fit in a few cheeky on the way home - a grand day out!

Listen dahling, I already have the legs, the skirt, supenders, 6 inch hi-heels and stockings. We'll be grand.
But, you get the pints in - in a storm yeah? That's when I need my man to really perform, more than at any other time.
Just sayin...
I really hope we are not scaring the kids in here. Bless.

Yeah Glas. The Lady is smert. So yeah, Jenny (misguided, self-righteous) Paxman would fit de bill. Good call man.
Me? I fancy Neil Jenkins & Bruce Parry. REAL men. Paxman would never do the ironing, stir yer blood or take mind-altering drugs in the name of knowledge or pushing back Life's envelope. Borrrring.

I know which would break down more...
Anyhoo I thought Asbo was going to do another table for accommodation for the meet. I'm putting up Stag, Munsty and the Penfro's. I may drive to Barth, Exsetter is probably a bridge too far. I can order tickets in a jiffy. I recommend the north terrace for atmosphere.

Evening all,
Just up from a nap. I can't remember being that tired before. Emotionally and physically drained. I'm a student, I'm not supposed to feel like this!
I do feel absolutely amazing though.

I'm very glad Downton Abbey is about to start so I can have an hour and a bit of some sort of escapism.
I thought it was my hangover making me feel so miserable today but it isn't. I'm just really sad.

Dreamer. I know why you are so sad. But, your team went beyond all expectations. The Scarlets boys on Tour - were World Class. And they are coming home to light up the PRO12 and HC.
If I were you, Id get an inner-smug-smile on me fisog.
The next step, for Wales and Welsh regional rubgy - is crucial. They must use this indignation. This hurt. And kick ass.
Enjoy the Show.

I tend to agree with Gibbo. The Welsh can take great heart from their teams performance and have the knowledge that there is young talent there who have come of age and will have learnt massively from the experience.
Charteris, Lydiate, Warburton, Faletau, Priestland and North were all potential top international players 6 weeks ago. They are much, much more now. The future would appear to be bright for Wales. Which of the other 6 Nations (excluding France) sides can the same?
