First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the life size photo of Thierry Dusautoir.

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Thanks Cari. C'mon 'spreys! OK guinness

Quite a bit happening this evening. Cricket is tense. Aus 175/5 they need 48 runs of 66 balls now, with Hussey & Haddin, our last remaining batsmen at the crease.

Tony Williams scores, 12-0 now in the 4N.

Yeah, basically when you tackle Visser he needs to stay tackled. Because if he gets out of the first tackle... the greased up deaf guy comes to mind. That's a big compliment for a winger!

Enjoyable match this.

Congratulations! by the way, to all Ireland fans of that strange hybrid game...

It was an absolute thrashing you gave our AFL boys Headscratch
Seriously took the game by the scruff of the neck and never looked back - good to see them win on Oz soil too. OK guinness

I only saw bits of it last night... I was watching Brisbane dismantle Adelaide 7-1 in the A-League instead.

Thurston scores now. 16-0 at HT

Brad Haddin holes out at deep cover.... silly. Australia 194/6. 29 required off 49 balls.

Yes agree Notch & Kia. Ford just did the same. We need to hit early, low and hard.

Visser is special though.

Een sterke, snelle en zeer bekwame man.

We have lots more where he came from. That's why Saffers are so big and strong. Cloggie genes.

Discipline is a problem for us. I know, I know Broken Record Aironi have missed two kicks at goal

I'm tempting fate but 18 minutes into the match and Peter Allan has looked pretty decent. Done ok, been consistent, correct in law and has used common sense.

Breaker - yes it's their first loss in the Rabo this season. It was bad in that it was frustrating because the yellow card lost it for us.

Watching Have I Got News For You and then Russell Howard. Need to laugh...

Agree Ozzy. Its made for an open game, but too many tackles missed by both teams.

Good man McFadden. That's game. Lots to sort out, but good away win against a strong Embra side. Need to up it v Munster next week. We will.

Went to look at a pooch today
http://www.rspcanorthsomerset.org.uk/RSPCA%20Doggy.html
Look for Lucy.

The one we fancied the other day was gone by the time we got in touch with the rescue centre, so we were down at a local one to see Lucy before they opened. Met her at her foster home this afternoon. She is really lovely. We have to be vetted now and the check out our home to see if it is suitable for a dog ...

It looked like a first match of the season, Gibbo. I can understand mix ups between players because as you say the internationals were just back, but the tackling was rubbish; there were lots of silly schoolboy errors even allowing for the returns.

You would think they hadn't spent the last six weeks playing rugby
