The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Shane Williams above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Bout ye MrsP? Was in Derry last week. Most impressed. Seems like a place that remembers its past but is moving along nicely. Was on the Peace Bridge with Rav. Wow! Took a few famous routes. Really enjoyed it.

You're welcome MrsP (re: the clip). Thought it would help so people could comment. Was a right old ding dong by the looks. As for pulling hair, well that's just girls stuff. Scrumcaps have their uses it seems...

Gibbo!
Rava had you marching??????
Cari,
I think quite a few of the Tigers have wee tails of hair. At least I think it's the Tigers.
I remember thing that Roger Wilson didn't have his hair like that when he played for us!
Or have got all mixed up again?

Quins managed to be 6-7 up at half time at Adams Park under a lot of pressure from Wasps. Turned it around in the second half. 6-22 up now after 60 mins with 3 tries (some great play).

Wasps got a couple of tries so 16-22 to Quins. Not bad considering their missing 3 no.8, 2 locks and 2 centres. Another centre down in this game.

Evening, felt well enough to head to town today. Met Danny Barnes, sound fella. He has a stunning girlfriend and was bizarrely wearing shorts and a t-shirt in December!

I don't like mince pies. Well, I like the pastry but not the mince bit. I'm fussy like that though cause I don't like Xmas cake or Xmas pud either but I love sprouts!
11 - 9 at Dave now.

mmmmmm Mince Pies! I've not had any yet MrsP, waiting till next week, going to add in slightly more Christmassy things each week now in the build up to the 25th, don't want to over do it too soon otherwise I'll be bored of it before the day comes!
Glad you're feeling a bit better Thomond. Shingler was wearing a t-shirt earlier too, and whilst it was nice to see him showing off his arms, I thought he was nuts. Tis freezing outside today.
Hammer: what's the score in the wasps v quins now, or was 16-22 the FT score?

Mince pies are awful. Also Gibbo, POM is from Tipp. They are as cocky as Dubs.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
16-22 is the full time score (there were a few minutes left when I posted).
14 games unbeaten now in all competitions this season. Really can't see them beating Toulouse to keep it up. Maybe beat Newcastle's 12 game run in the premiership.

Well it snowed a bit here earlier so the kids had the Christmas music on practically before the first flake hit the ground!
They had the wee one writing her Santa letter too and we were at the School Christmas Fair yesterday so we are well in the mood!

Yeah, you get a real Christmassy feeling being in the city centre. Picked up some things and some great food and fun to be had in there.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Ah you sound like you're in a wonderful Christmas house MrsP!!
I walked around all the Christmas stalls earlier and had a lovely glass of mulled wine. And fair play to Cardiff the lights up this year are brilliant. I do love this time of year
Ooooo phew, Dragons manage to sneak a draw with the last kick of the match. 14-14.
Hammer - Quins are on a great run for sure. And you never know against Tolouse. It'll be very, very difficult, but anything can happen!
Cari - ha yeah I get those looks too. I still try Christmas cake and pudding every year though incase my tastes have changed, it worked with mince pies, so who knows

I know that Cari. I was going to say "coffee" but I wasn't sure if you were a "hot water only" girl.
Now I remember you definately like Tea!
Actually, MrP bought some Chai the other day which I think smells Christmassy. Sort of like the Gluhwein/Vinchaud of tea!

It's snowing and lying now!!!
Unfortunately this precipitated the kids switching on the patio lights again to get a better view and the fuse blew AGAIN.

Yes
Yes - was great meeting up with our new friends from Taranaki and the USA, they are a lovely couple. We had a little drink in Bar 33 on Windsor Place, then a lovely Italian meal at La Boheme, then the match, before finally back to Bar 33 for more drinkies
I always cry when THE Anthem is sung by a big crowd, gets me here everytime

I love snow, can't wait for it to snow again this year, although would rather we don't get any until after next weekend! Don't want any transportation issues.

Evening all. Just had Chinese myself Prop. Very tasty.
Glad the kids, Mrs. P's & Willy are enjoying the snow. Won't be so nice in the morning when we have to set off for work.
Just relaxing watching a bit of golf. Waiting for the strictly results. If 606 ever do strictly I want Micky T as my dance partner. Such a smooth operator. Our first attempt at the waltz on Friday wasn't bad.
