The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of John Hayes, Craig Gilroy,
Niall O'Connor, Ben Skirving and Jonny May above the bar!

Scarlets should obviously target the Amlin. They are in it now and it will give the side more European experience. But, they have a great chance for the PRO12 knockouts. That should be their real focus.
Do that and their season is more successful than last year.
Exaclty Gibbo! Add to that we can get improved ranking points for the HEC next season - a big +.
Pro 12 is key though, and we've got an okish fixture list during the 6N's before the Amlin becomes a bit of a distraction, so hopefully we'll get through it okay. We'll either get through it or crumble, twill be a big test for our squad, but am confident we can do it.

While I'm very very pleased for Gilroy, I'd be happy enough to have as many of our lads with us for the next 2+ months as we can.
And!!!!
I hope Paddy Mac's injury isn't serious!

Evening all. Just had a "eureka" moment on a nice tricky piece of SAS code
As, I was expecting to hear back from my agent today re interview feedback, no word as yet which is possibly not good news. Touch wood.

I know, huge shock result there Lucky. Nishikori has been there or thereabouts the last couple of seasons though, so perhaps shouldn't have been so surprising, he's taken big scalps before if I recall.
So Murray should win, providing he focues for the whole match (and conisdering it's him, that's highly doubtful!)

All the best to Ma, Penfrue.
Cant wait to hear her voice say "Young Gibbo, are you wearing your thermals going out with my son to rugby?. Its cold. Make sure you wrap up now son"
Penfrom, please please give her a cuddle from me yeah?
Just talked to mine. Told her Rav was coming down and I was coming over - for her 83rd birthday on the 10th March. Ok, I lied - there's a game on.
But, we'll spoil her all the same. Precious time spent.
"Ah sure he's that lovely man who always brings me flowers and a smile. Of course he can stay"
I always ask, even tho I already know the answer. Makes it her decision. Its her house.
Man, I love that woman. 83 years and never ever said a bad word about anyone. Minds and forgives the Devils 1st (TF). Unreal.
I just love wimmin. They are the most essential creatures on the Planet.

You all know that I have practically zero interest in football and I certainly have no truck with the antics that go on during matches but, I have to say, watching that, I think the guy just lost his balance, no?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Willy, I saw what you wrote. Congrats to Gilroy he has been solid but not specatacular. He is only there to hold the tackle bags anyway...... He has two less tries than Zebo in 4 more games and his tries have come against Aironi,Connacht and a poor Leicester side FFS. Zebo gets a hat-trick against the HC runners up like and current HC quarter finalists too.
Hello Cricket, why don't you tell Gibson and Ozzy your thoughts on RVP? I'm sure they will love you for it

No he took a backward stamp if he was falling over he would naturally have put his foot forward.

She was a baaabe. Think this woman (Claudette Colbert). The Old man? He had the BS and the Clarke Gable looks.

Yeah roysh. I always got the blame. I had 4 sisters. You have NO idea. It took me 3 years to make the phhokin bathroom.

I think it was accidental. If it is proven that he did it on purpose, my opinion of him will be lowered. I really like him though. He is a character. He has a very "interesting" upbringing which gives some reason for his antics.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Cymro is correct, the biomechanics of his body mean that as he was off balance and falling forwards the natural movement of his leg would have been forwards to steady himself.
He very deliberately puts his leg backwards and stamps down.
Should receive a considerable ban.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
But how?
He is falling backward over his own left shoulder with his left foot on the ground. He tries to put his right foot behind him because that is the way he is falling. To put it anywhere else he would have had to twist through 180 degrees.
Stand up and get someone to pull you backward by your left shoulder while you are standing on your left leg and see where your right foot goes.
But, as I say, I know nothing about football. Couldn't even tell you who he was playing for or against and I don't think I had ever heard of him before last night.
I am just trying to work out the mechanics of it.

He isn't even looking at Parker though. He might have known a body was under him alright but it would be diffciult to prove as he doesn't look at parker at any point of the clip

Forget the mechanics. Look at his face and the way he feigns falling, when he turns and stomps him. For the 2nd time I might add. He meant it. How can people be so stupid they cant see that? It always astounds me.
GUILTY! HANG him!
Evenin all.

Gibbo he doesn't look at Parker once. Pepe knew what he was doing last Wednesday. I don't think Super Mario did. (I will admit to a bit of bias however as I lover Mario as a player.)
