First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of John Hayes, Craig Gilroy,
Niall O'Connor, Ben Skirving and Jonny May above the bar!

And Asbo went all the way to Iceland to see Rory when he needn't have bothered as half the country can see it. But don't tell him that last bit!

I think the Ospreys will really click next year under the leadership of Ashley Beck. Biggar and Bishop will sort themselves out and the back three will run tries in for fun. Missing AWJ is telling, but I think with him back, Ianto and Ryan fit, it will be a case of look out.

I haven't suddenly become either Cari. I will be part of the Integrated Consultant's Team as CDM Co-ordinator. Mainly co-ordinating all aspects of Health and Safety in the Design and Construction process.

Well, he's not actually building Ravenhill, more making sure they don't drop any bricks on supporters' heads while the builders build it!

And of course getting me my own box.

Did I mention that I was watching the Tiger's match from a box?

Post by Guest Tue 24 Jan 2012, 18:08

hmmm, good question. With the new stadium I think I'd ahve made sure we had terracing behind both posts too, reckon that would be better for when we open up the west and east stand. But then part of our plan to ensure we have capacity to host a QF is that we can put in temp seating there, so that won't work.

I'm not the biggest fan of the corners of the stadium being open, but if they'd put in seating there, I think it would have been too big then.

Not many changes I'd make at all really. Compared to Stradey it's a palace! There's good toilet facilities, I love the terracing and there's enough bars etc (even if they aren't staffed well enough). Can't comment on the South Stand though and what it's like in there, as have never been there!

Stradey would have cost too much to be developed, seriously it needed a massive overhaul, would have costed far too much. Although, I do still miss it.

Ah no Staggy. The world is full of sadness as it is, and this forum is supposed to be an escape from all that. Also I don't pour out my heart at the best of times, let alone on a public forum. So, I'm going to have a hot shower and send my woes down the plughole I think. Just popped my head around the virtual door really, and everyone seems on good form anyway. OK

Evening all, Cari Hug

For anyone who's not off to dinner, a friend's just sent this puzzler:
"Can you think of a situation where a product/innovation/idea was unsuccessful and not accepted by society, but became a success when reintroduced years later?"

(his girlfriend is after examples for her dissertation).

8:20 netball game tonight, so I'm staying at work for another hour to stay out of the weather.

The best invention that i can think of that was unpopular kiwi was a project that i am working on. Harnessing windpower and transorming it into electricity, when it was first brought in it was deemed useless now we cant keep up with the demands to build towers and power stations for them.

Ok techknowledgy has developed and made it more a possibility and financially sound but its a good example i feel Very Happy

Jokes. Take care of yourself though, ok? We all care about you.

I initially read Kiwis post like this;

Kiwireddevil wrote:For anyone who's not off to dinner, a friend's just sent this puzzler:

(his girlfriend is an example he cites in his dissertation).

Which was confusing.

Love to be there as well. But Im going to the Ireland Scotland game. And the HC knockouts have financial priority.
