The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
This is the first Pub of 606v2's second year, here's hoping for another good one.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Augustin Pichot, David Campese, Mal O'Kelly and Jim Williams above the bar!

I'd imagine Irelands squad for the first two games of the 6N will be announced on Monday, which is always great 'fun' Cari.
You know something for strangers to curse each other out about Cari. I might even join in myself

Well my only moan will be if Tommy's not picked. I do find the Annual Irish Team Row very funny to read though. I'm looking forward to it I'm off for three days this week too, so I come in and read it all "live"

That's the spirit
Gonna be fun on a bun. I wouldn't worry about Mr. Bowes form though. A lot of Tommy to Ulster rumours swimming around... he needs a good Six Nations to help out with the contract negotiations

ah well, if he doesn't get picked he can always be the PPP (Pointless Pitchside Pundit) for the BBC like last year. He has the face for it *sigh* I suppose we have to give him back sometime. I'd rather he goes back to Ireland than a French club cause I'd never get to see him if he plays in the T14. At least I can get BBC NI over here on my Skyless telly

No, not this year Notch. I didn't really plan much for this rugby season cause I didn't know what was happening with my work situation until last October/November. I don't mind watching the Six Nations at home anyway. I like their coverage and I can see the other matches too. My friend usually comes around, and we get some munchies in and settle in front of the box. how about yourself? Heading south for a match or two?

Tidy! That should be a good day out. A few of the regz are headed to that one too so perhaps you'll bump into them as well. I wonder if Paddy Wallace will make an appearance for that one...

HOLBY CITY UPDATE - Mam is OFF the monitors and no sign that the pains in the chest were due to a heart issue She was out of bed and sat up in a chair when we visited this afternoon, having already been for a short walk with the frame this morning

Great news Penfro.
And thank you so much Cymro for finding the French lyrics!
I was so fed up looking last night that I gave up.
Your help is very much appreciated!

Nice going on the cooking front Cari. Going to be getting my creative cooking thing going tomorrow. Some kind of smoked bacon, pepper and tomato/herb sauce I reckon. Well, that stuff is lurking in the fridge, so I'll chuck it all together and see how it turns out.
Need to give it a name though
Maybe a rugby player name. Hmmm.
Nos da folks. One very weary signing out for the day.

If you drive a car,
I'll tax the street.
If you drive to city,
I'll tax your seat.
If you get too cold,
I'll tax the heat.
If you take a walk,
I'll tax your feet.
Taxman!c
That’s rough Rav mate.
Unusually excited about the 6nations today. It normally doesn’t hold that much excitement for me, but this weekend’s match is going to be epic, just have a good feeling.
Slightly disappointed, if not surprised at the lack of any scrummaging ability from the Wolfhouds at the weekend, but we played some good rugby, there are positives there. Anyone see the game? Anyone hear Stuart Barnes wetting himself over Banahan charging Zebo into touch? That really annoyed me, it was seriously dangerous and he kept referring to it as a “cracking hit”…

I can't wait for the Six Nations to start, but I'm worried about our opening game. The last home game you played in the Six Nations, you totally battered England and you'd have beaten most sides in the world. We could be on the end of a heavy defeat if we're not careful.

Hi all,
Best wishes to Mammy Penfro.
Why aren't Ireland didnt Ireland the bank to sign Mike Cron the Kiwi scrum guru to work throughout the country providing regular scrum workshops to all Irish teams.
Also even though I usually find the 6 Nations dull as dishwater I am thoroughly looking forward to this tournament. I think it will be the best in years.

I don't mind Stuart Barnes. He writes well, at any rate. But I hate listening to Miles Harrison commentate on any game involving England or an English side. England find touch and he creams himself.
