First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Jonathan Davies (JD2), and all of the weekend's 6 Nations debutants above the bar!

Just for MrsP

Official Press Release from the 6Nations:
DISCIPLINARY UPDATE - STEPHEN FERRIS DECISION
9 February 2012, 2:01 pm
By Hashim Piperdy
At a disciplinary hearing in London today, the citing made against Stephen Ferris was considered but not upheld.
The independent Six Nations Disciplinary Committee, chaired by Antony Davies (England) together with Douglas Hunter (Scotland) and John Doubleday (England) met to consider a citing complaint under Law 10.4(j) by Achille Reali (Italy) the independent Citing Commissioner appointed for the RBS 6 Nations match between Ireland and Wales in Dublin at the weekend.

The Committee, after careful analysis of the video evidence and consideration of the player’s and his representative’s explanation of the tackle, did not uphold the citing.

Are the games in Glasgow and Dublin still on ce soir?

The majority of RM92 players (according to Rugbyrama) have asked their president to get rid of Berbizier, the coach, following the Chabal incident.Should be a good game vs ASM on Saturday Whistle

WALES: Leigh Halfpenny; Alex Cuthbert, Jonathan Davies, Jamie Roberts, George North, Rhys Priestland, Mike Phillips; Gethin Jenkins, Huw Bennett, Adam Jones, Ryan Jones, Ian Evans, Dan Lydiate, Sam Warburton (C), Toby Faletau

REPLACEMENTS: Ken Owens, Paul James, Lou Reed, Andy Powell, Lloyd Williams, James Hook, Scott Williams

Harsh on Gill. Though he had an excellent game, but they obviously like that fact that James can prop on the tight head. Ryan at the second row I think suits his game now, he's developing into an excellent tight player as his responsibilities in the loose are taken on by Faletau. I wonder whether Gatland will bring Ken Owens on this time, or should we start calling him 'splinters'.

A clear case of Arsenewengeritis there. Many managers, coaches and fans seem to suffer from it I notice. Though Gatland was showing signs of recovery on Sunday Wink

I shouldn't laugh really!

Seriously though, I agree, it was good to see Gatland come straight out and say what he did. My only quibble was that he seemed to be saying,

"You will not get away with that sort of thing with TV cameras around."

rather than,

"You shouldn't do it because of the risk of injury!"

'Allo, 'allo. Possible snow here later.

Why, oh why have the 6N organising bods scheduled France v Ireland at 8pm on a Saturday? steam That has totally upset the balance of my weekend (and a few others I should think).

Blydi hopeless leaving a two hour + gap between the Saturday games.

Replied Gibbo. I'm happy the match is on late, mainly because I have a match at 5. Get back and have some munch as I'm watching the match.

If fact, he would have looked a bit like Ryan.

Not a leg to stand on!

Run

I thought you'd been defending Ryan?
