First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Jonathan Davies (JD2), and all of the weekend's 6 Nations debutants above the bar!

Morning all

Whisky please, I've just spent half an hour on modding duties.

Really can't wait for the end of the 6N based on the behaviour of a lot of people outside.

Pete, yer too feicing nice - time to just boot some of these numpties, particularly the muppet immigrant from the golf boards - trust me, he is at the source of much trouble

Good news, I've found the replacement for the doris (recently sacked if you remember after the fiasco that was Haggis-gate):

No worries mate, you certainly weren't alone.

Have PM'd 8 people this morning already. And half of them are good posters normally.

A nicely parsed quote from Facebook by Jed Thian (the Alternate Rugby Commentary guy)
...and this weekend's 6 Nations results will be: Red...white.. and blue.

Morning all,

Was 45 minutes late for my seminar this morning. Was just in the library and completely forgot about it. The lecturer is probably the most intimidating member of staff in the university but thankfully likes me and just laughed when I told him I forgot.

Just out of interest does the Monza Motorsport Council actually exist? I searched on google for it and the top results were on this forum, they were all you, also if only great minds need apply shouldn't they be able to spell Italian? Doh

Yes, it's a common misconception that we people of glorious Monza can't spell Itallian, but we have always spelt it that way out of respect for our country.

You see, Monza harbours ambitions to become the eighth wonder of the world. Our superstitious ways were held back by the one letter L in Italian. And Italy. L means loose. We no likea to loose. So we put another negative L in their to make it a double negative. This makes it a positive and Monza had improved their country's luck. The rest of Itally disagrees with us so it became a local dialect thing.

Some people say this is why Monza is richer than austerity hit Rome...

And now you know.

Occupations from the middle ages:

* Silk-snatcher - one who steals bonnets.

* Thimblerigger - a professional sharper who runs a thimblerig (a game in which a pea is ostensibly hidden under a thimble and players guess which thimble it is under).

* Knifeman - one skilled with a knife; specifically, a soldier trained to disembowel horses.

* Eggler - an egg-merchant.

* Tasseler - one who makes tassels.

That's got to be slightly worrying Hound. Only Nieto is first choice for Sarries in that pack, and they do look to be stronger on paper to what Wasps have on show. You boys badly need a win this week to get some confidence back.

Ah ha!

Was that Emerick ?

I have to say it couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke!

He executed one terrible "late" challenge whilst with us and never wore the shirt again as far as I can remember. Not many Ulster fans were sorry to see the back of him!
