The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Sergio Parisse and Owen Farrell above the bar.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Evening all, just got back from the game. It was great to meet Penfro, Mrs Penfro, Dreamer and Asbo before the game, and I have to say I was impressed with how quickly Asbo managed to get served considering how packed it was in the Queens Vaults. And it was a good Test match in the end - we picked up the intensity in that spell after half time. Scotland played some good rugby too and even though I was quite a way from the action, even I could see that Hogg hadn't knocked on.
Two from two, that'll do!

I decided to forego the Wales match and I'm glad I did. The Muppets is the best film I have seen in the last few months. Fantastic fun for all.

This table can't be right. I don't remember Italy scoring 24 points against France and I'm certain we didn't put 46 points on Ireland.

My middle sister and brother-in-law went to watch that the other day, Thomond, they said it was good too.

It was very good Lucky, would recommend it to all. Unless tries created by a classy offload from North count double(the IRB may be bringing in some legislation) then Wales didn't score 46 points on Ireland.

The Wales match was great, butI slept through the first half. I don't mean it was boring, I mean I literally slept until nearly 4pm
That's fukced up. I slept for 14 hours, entirely unintentionally and continuously. I worry about this kind of thing.
And I had a dream Paddy Wallace replaced The Edge as the guitarist in U2 just before they embarked on a world tour, and all the U2 fans were indignant. But I was all defnsive and saying "Wallace is a great guitarist, youse are all clueless, you wouldn't be saying that if you'd seen some of the gigs he's played in Belfast lately". I actually had that dream, I'm not even lying.

The edge is from Llanelli. Perhaps you were wanting Ulster to adopt a 15 man running style?

I defer to a higher authority - Wikipedia
The Edge was born in England to a Welsh family, but was raised in Ireland after moving there as an infant.

Evening Rava & Glas. How's the form lads?
So Stag, what was the mood of the fans like? Your customers in fact? Will they re-book? Expensive trip to do once, never mind twice.
I went out last night, into the Dam to watch it. No game so I ended up meeting friends and was out till 5am. Had a ball! Da Dancin in Bourbon Street. Still got it.Still cant dance, but I get the sympathy vote.

Well done Stag. Poite was truly awful today. Not result changing nevessarily, but game changing nevertheless. By the second half both sides were getting away with all sorts yet still made a spectacle of it.

Customers are disappointed. Main ill feeling in Paris was to French not Pearson. Hard to see major interest in booking replay. The fans loved the fact that Ireland played a game of touch rugby in the end. I met few players and they were gutted by decision. Could be garden get them as fired up again. Likely date us Friday 2nd March at 9pm

Be even better when Visser gets on board, As. Also liking the look of Hogg. Thought your forwards were magnificent. Poite was abysmal.

Hear, hear. The Scottish pack was excellent. Yes they pushed the envelope, but that's what its all about. They have the players in the backs, but everyones an individual. Get EOS in to coach the backs.

In the words of Eddie Butler "come, come Phillip". Every ruck was a farce and the offside line in the backs was non existent. As I said he was generally poor for both sides.

Yes and butchered a third. However it should not have got to there as there was as clear a miss of a foot in touch as you would like to see in the build up.
What summed it up for me was Phillips running into the retreating Strokosch to claim a penalty whilst Poite was looking the other way.

The moment for me was when they showed the replay of North colliding with his teammate and Jonathon Davies said "it was clearly accidental"
Hope his injury isn't too serious by the way.
