The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Sergio Parisse and Owen Farrell above the bar.

Yes, special emphasis on that Rava. Every building has it.
Also waterways protection - gotta show all measures in place to stop contamination of the river.
Would you believe there is a 3m sq. cluster of sea grass we have to carefully uproot and replant next to its cousins up the river?
We then have to re-uproot & re-plant back in the harbour at the end of the job.

Morning Stag. The Irish guys I work with are from Limerick... a couple of years older than you. Good blokes, always on the ball.
There was even "I'm not raisin' ma voice!" telephone coversation to the other Irish guy on site who was being squeezed by the client.
"... and WHO is going to do that, then.... (10 second pause)... I'm NOT saying that at all!" Great stuff!
The Ulster girl is the nicest of the three though.

Morning all.
Back into netball tonight after our weather-enforced week off. At least we were in good company with weather postponements
Our game last Tuesday wold have been a top-of-the-table clash, here's hoping it still is come March 8.
Breaker, if you have some Aussie SXV squad lists can you paste a link in the writer's section

Yes, diagonally opposite in a quadrant of our own...
that's when I'm not out on the M5 heading halfway towards Canberra, MrsP... well, Campbelltown. It's an old Irish Model Farm Area.
Did you know the fuel is about 15c/l cheaper in the massive new fuelling stations? In fact, all auto goods are given away out west.
So I got twin packs of motor oil & coolant... and topped up the petrol as well. Replenished the water too. The car has had a good drink.

What did you make of Poite's performance in general? I'd been warming to him as a ref recently in Heino games, but thought he was woeful on Sundayred_stag wrote:Oi Asbo, I rewatched Italy v England last night and then Wales v Scotland

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Asbo,
In comparison to Halfpenny and Hogg, Foden was pants. When I was watching on TV at time though I thought he did ok apart from the Benvenuti try. Anyway we learn.
That sums up my feelings on Poite. I used to REALLY not rate him. However he had come on a long way as a referee and I wasn't filled with dread when I'd see his name listed to ref Munster/Ireland.
But yes he was very poor on Saturday. I wasn't sure about the 2nd yellow. Also a perfect try disallowed.

mpc28 (whoever that is) is nearly 100 points ahead of me! I'm only 11 ahead of Notch. Linebreaker is 5th and the rest of the regs are lagging way behind. I much prefer a fantasy league to a prediction league but they're hard to come by in rugby.

I’m great thanks MrsP – I tend not to be in the pub as much lately, I’m fairly busy in work so when I can get onto 606 I usually just go for the outside threads.
Really good form though, I mean, apart from the international rugby like
How’s every little thing with you? Are the little p’s in training for the Rio Olympics already?

Mick you didn't put a team in my Guinness Mini League. I think PJ is leading. Loads of Welsh players on his team.
I'm languishing near the bottom but my team has more Ireland/French players who didn't get any points last week

Rav, I’ve never warmed to the 6nations fantasy league’s. if you don’t get lucky with your squad from the off you’re left behind, and then I would lose interest. With the fantasy pro12 I picked a horrible team to start with, and was in the bottom half, but a few shrewd signings at the right time (Sexton in his first 2 games back from the world cup – 44 points) and I was back in the mix.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Not really in training yet for the weeuns.
Actually, there was a comp at the weekend and some Scottish athletes were over taking part. While they were waiting for their final one of the lads was telling our wee fella about how he trains by pulling his dad's car 30m everyday and timimg himself and then pulling chains along the ground for a certain distance every day and all sorts.
My lad looked at him as if he had 3 heads as he hasn't started any athletics training yet this year as it clashes with his rugby.
He hasn't done anything for athletics since the start of September!

I hope not indeed though this other lad is the same age.
I told him he should have said,
"Training? What's that? Sure we just show up and give it a lash!"
Which wasn't actually far from the truth!

Absolutely, 2 early Christian martyrs (Valentine of Rome and Valentine of Terni) nicked by the English (Chaucer) to promote the notion of courtly love
They love ‘nicking’ saints the English, they also nicked St George didn’t they ? That’s OK though, they can have him, quite literally, as he’s the patron saint of , umm, how to put this delicately – gardening (uphill variety)
We Welsh have no need to nick a saint to promote our notions of romance, as we have
SANTES DWYNWEN
Now if I’m to get a bollock!ng for forgetting a date, that’s the one I’m choosing
