The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Sergio Parisse and Owen Farrell above the bar.

Let me know As. We might be able to get tickets through our season tickets for :chief:s
Rava, I don't really care what ref we get. It's up to our boys to look after our own game. As a club we don't usually have a pop at referees. Dai Yoyng point bkank refuses to criticise them publicly.

To be fair Hound I think the same could be said of most coaches.
I certainly have never heard Brian McLaughlin criticise one.

Funny you should say that, MrsP, but I remember after one particularly heavy session at uni I did actually see one of them ... could've been on Rose St, mindMrsP wrote:You are more likely to find a Unicorn walking up Prince's Street Asbo!

When you were at Uni???
That wasn't a Unicorn Asbo. I remember my Gran telling me about those days.
That was just the Horse that used to pull the milkman's cart.

Given our results, you could argue that DY hasn't done well. But everyone knows the injury list has been a lengthy one.
MrsP - oh, I agree that many coaches won't have a pop at referees.

Mrs G says the same. French school kids at the castle mean dead or stolen chickens, shoplifting, flooded toilets and abuse. Their least favourite nationality to deal with.

Do you really mean,

No I don't mean it's just because of the girl!!
I genuinely felt lost in cardiff and just a bit isolated....things have changed now (not just her) like with more things with work...chance to climb etc etc

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
prop, you go for the interview, no two ways about it - it's a bit like with Staggy a while back, unless you go and find out about the job involves, you'll never know how potentially good it could be. At the same time, without explicitly mentioning said interview, you have a frank discussion with your current boss about his plans/aspirations for you, etc., while dropping a couple of mighty hints about pay rises. Then, with all the relevant information in your possession, you can weigh it all up and include in your extra-curricular activities!prop_lyd wrote:Right regs......i know i can chat about things etc here.............i've been offered an interview in Inverness for that job, i'd kind of given up hope about it and resettled down in cardiff....................what do i do?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Ah possibly MrsP, probably. We have some people who are really hoping we do. Sunday game is a nuisance. It will have me here late with a lot of phonecalls but sure thats ok.
Obviously people are broke after last time so it has to be cost driven. Aer Lingus and Ryanair are pricy enough. We'll see. I'll say no more for now.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Well I hope you get it sorted Stag.
I also hope that some Irish fans get to travel to the rearranged match. I had friends at the thing on Saturday who were phoning home trying to get info as to whether the match was on or off. They were saying that no-one told them to keep their tickets either until it was too late and some people had lost them.

Hi MrsP Compulsory overtime? I'm not sure that's legal unless you disguise it as flexible working or time off in lieu...anyway, it's not compulsory. I wanted to do it - its a bit of a novelty with us! So when I was asked, I said I wouldn't mind. I'll probably regret it by Friday through tiredness!

Well so long as you want to do it that's okay.
Sure you can sleep late on Saturday.
Will you go the Cardiff BLUES match against ULSTER on Friday? Just to get in some practise like?

OK Im going home. Got a lot sorted.
MrsP - if you're pals are interested in heading back I know now that we are 99% likely to have a day return flight and coach transfers.
Will confirm price in morning but it will be cheap as humanly possible at this short notice.
