As much as the Lions need help on defense, if they can't protect the franchise, they aren't going anywhere. Stafford's been on I.R twice in two seasons, they have to keep him upright.

Yeah think every1 would agree that was a good pick. Maybe Tyron Smith instead, but don't think the top tackle is set in stone.

Jones, they have to give Bradford a weapon for most of his career, and is also an exceptional run blocker.

Re: 606v2 Mock Draft
Jones and Bradford could grow together and become one of the next great QB-WR partnerships really hoping that the Rams can find a top notch receiver (although I would have to hope that the 49ers could draft Patrick Peterson in the real draft because Clements vs Jones may not be pretty)

Not that I know of unless I have missed it. In fairness to the guy he isn't a bad corner but he shouldn't have been paid like one of the best around he would be a good number 2 for any team

Well at the bills he was a good starter, and at 49ers he went down hill. 80million was a rediculous contract though.

With a new HC and DC coming in, and with his play not coming close to warranting his big salary, there is some talk he might be dumped.

yer even though i think his stock is currently overated (people talking about him going ahead of green are crazy) but its the perfect fit for both the player and team

I'm really looking forward to seeing how Edmund Gates pans out. He's very raw, but he's a really intriguin prospect. Most teams would do well to pick him up in the 3rd round.

Re: 606v2 Mock Draft
Julio Jones is the obvious move, but totally the right one in this mock... Jones is talented and a link up with Bradford will help them both.
They just need to keep Steven Jackson to keep the defenses honest.

Re: 606v2 Mock Draft
He plays for Abilene Christian and he has a basketball background. He grew up with his dad in jail for murder but has carved out solid college numbers. He's very fast and his combine numbers were sick.
He'd be a deep threat receiver.

One of best small school projects, had a good vertical ump too.Same school as Knox as and meant to be better than him coming out, and he had a good year last season, in only his second year in the league.

Re: 606v2 Mock Draft
We don't need him mate. Arrelious Benn showed he could provide us with that last season and we have far more pressing needs.
I just find him intriguing. He's a total athlete but will require good coaching.

This is a toss up between two players but with the 15th pick the Dolphins select: Mike Pouncey Gaurd/centre

Re: 606v2 Mock Draft
Good choice I think. Miami's troubles with the running game stemmed from the C/G positions last season and Pouncey, while being a bit of a reach at 15, will be an instant upgrade.
With the 16th pick, the Jacksonville Jaguars select Ryan Kerrigan, DE, Perdue.
Not a surprise, he's exactly what Jack Del Rio wants. A high motor, excellent college production, he's very clever and by all accounts, hes a great guy.

Also just noticed, 2 different GMs for the Pats? Wouldn't 1 GM make more sense if we're doing multiple rounds?

Shhhhhh.... We might not get that far yet!
Let's keep it as it is for round one, then if we're all keen to continue, I'll change it at the beginning of round 2.

J.J Watt and Cameron Jordan have to be contenders here. I don't think I could pass up the value of Aldon Smith at 17 though.

Watt has already been taken by the Skins at 10. Jordan would be my pick here. He's going to be awesome imo.

they need a pash rush, DE for 3-4 are deep in the draft. Smith is the obvious choice here.

Who was the other player you were considering? Most mocks seem to have you taking Ingram, just wondering if he was your other option or if you had different ideas regarding your RB situation.AquaArab wrote:This is a toss up between two players but with the 15th pick the Dolphins select: Mike Pouncey Gaurd/centre

Whoever gets the pick in first gets the Pats?
Forgot Watt had gone, would probably go Smith over Jordan, pass rushers drop off fairly soon.

Well were going at a roaring pace today... I'm quite glad i'm off work on study leave or I wouldn't be able to keep up! 2nd round would be immense, but we would have to be quite speedy I would imagine.

If the Dolphins don't trade down I think it will be between Pouncey and Ingram and I can see them going for Pouncey. Or at least I hope they will. There are other running backs that we could pick up in the third that could do a job for us so it is not quite as important as a solid offensive lines man.

It'd be hard for them to pass on Aldon Smith imo, especially with Brady in the division.

GlasgowHibs logged on earlier today so he's still active. I'm sure this will get rolling later on tonight or tomorrow.
We've made good progress today, though. Excellent contributions and debate.

Re: 606v2 Mock Draft
Yeah it been good... provided me with some light revision break material!
I'm intrigued as to when (or if) the next QB will go in this round.
Still a couple of quality DE's on the board in Cam Jordan, Adrian Clayborn and Aldon Smith.
And does this mean that Ingram might slip out of round one or will the Pats snap him up (seen him to the Saints in one or two mocks as well)

Ok cheers pr4wn I was just worried we might lose the momentum we seem to have gained these last couple of days, but if he's still logging in hopefully the pick will be in fairly soon.
I agree with crazy Dave, I'm interested to see who's going to start reaching for quarterbacks, and then to see if anyone follows. Still half the first round left so there's still plenty of teams who could be looking at Ingram, I've also seen him go to the packers in a couple of drafts.
