The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Georgia
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has ventured to Georgia, because rugbydreamer wants the Scarlets to find a nice forward out there.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of birthday boy Hughie, Chris Budgen, Leo Cullen, Brian O'Driscoll, Paddy Wallace, Tomas O'Leary and a red faced Ronan O'Gara on the wall.

I'm not telling them!
You don't know anyone who recorded the match in a form that can be shared do you Notch? We phoned the grandparents from outside Thomond Park to try to get them to record it for us but it was a step too far for them.
Caused great hilarity amongst the Munster fans queuing with us though. They kept saying we wouldn't want to watch it again!

Try this thread on the Fans site;

Another week, another massive worry about the availability of a key player. John Afoa cited for a tip tackle;
http://www.ercrugby.com/eng/news/16480.php
He deserves to be cited for it. But that doesn't make me any less anxious. The low end is three weeks, which would rule him out of the semi-final. Big problem for us then because I can't see him getting off altogether. I don't think he should.

I have it recorded. You are very welcome to nip up and have a watch. I don't know how to transfer it from the Sky+ box to a disc or stick

Thanks Rava. I don't know either. That's definately MrP's territory.
Saw that about Afoa.
Would have been surprised if he hadn't been cited but as the 50 hours was almost up...

I have the game recorded on Sky+ but not sure if I can download it onto a disc or stick. I will see what I can do, and if I can do it, I will get your address and post it to you.

Just checked the back of the Sky box and it has a USB port so I am presuming that I can connect something up via that to copy it onto. Will let you know how I get on?

Ulster Rugby are saying that more than 10,000 of the Season Ticket holder's allocation has already been sold as well as 12,000 of the general release tickets.
They are predicting 35,000 Ulster supporters on the 28th!

Hope the Ps, get to Lansdowne alright. Will be a great occasion. Also, Matanavou's try was pure pace, BODs was the best from a team point and Gilroy's was magic (even with shoite defending).

More people went to hear an American footballer preach last weekend (Tim Tebow, if you didn't know). Ulster are still small time...

Lesser of two idiotic evils goes on to represent the Republicans.
Santorum? More fit for a Sanatorium. He said, on TV, (comparing the US to Yurrop) that the Dutch let people kill themselves willy-nilly within their Social Health System. And because we had a (brilliant I might add) Social Health System, a system which protects young and old, from the cradle to the grave - we were typical Commies. Like Obama. I thought Bush was bad... and he was... but that guy? It's really worrying how stupid the Yanks who voted for him - actually are. There's phhokin millions of em too.
Romney is not much better. Just more shrewd (Yank wise) in how he says it.
They , have a collected an Evil pot of over 200 mill, to plot to destroy Obama's character. Obama has an honest 6.5 mill to defend himself.
It's a very sick country. But its FREE. Apparently.
Rant over.
So. How is everyone tonight?

Down to visit my aunt and uncle just outside Birmingham. Just on the last leg now. Then on Saturday, going to a party down in Wiltshire.
Gibbo,
I almost guarantee you Obama will have much much more than 6 mill to spend.

Shame I'm on task over the weekend or I'd have tried to have come and egged/hugged you.
Off to Paris tomorrow for the day. Bonnet de douche Rodney. Up early for a fitness test too , but I am very restless tonight. Think I'm a bit down after a great weekend back home and knowing I'm away from my wife for at least a week. Bit soppy I know

Bore da pawb / good morning all. The pup had me up at three this morning and although I managed to get back to sleep, I am in dire need of a or two!
It annoyed me that they reported this on BBC Breakfast by saying 'Rick Santorum has dropped out of the race for the Republican candidacy, clearing the way for the millionaire businessman Mitt Romney.' Well let's be fair for a minute, either say they're both millionaires (which they are) or don't mention it at all.
Right, I'm ready for my second .

It's a tough time to be playing for a team called the Blues - Glas has covered off the Welsh travails http://www.v2journal.com/the-blues-blues.html, and meanwhile down in Auckland you have Mealamu publically slagging Weepu's fitness, and fans blaming the team being last on the table on a Samoan coach (funnily enough they didn't have too many problems when the same coach got them to the playoffs last year)

Are there any sanctions on clubs going into Administration similar to soccer? Clubs there get an automatic 10 point deduction.

The only previous precedent is from yonks ago with what happened to Richmond and London Scottish - booted out the leagues, with the amateur side forced to start at the bottom again, and the pro sides given to London Irish. I would be surprised if that was repeatedRava wrote:Morning . I was thinking of you when I read that yesterday. I hope the investment needed comes along quickly. -22 points this season Rava, practically ensuring relegation.
Hayes has been a disaster, taking a very successful club to this in four years. We are now considering an offer from Mark Kleanthous, the chairman of Barnet FC. Will we never learn!!
The scuppering of the new stadium plans caused Hayes to put the club up for sale. There must be some powerful local lobbyists to have put paid to what was a very good plan.

Hi Rava, I've had a quick look and my Super rugby previews run to just over 1500 words, which is on the long side. So anywhere between 500-1200 is grand. Any links you can dig up for pics of the course/players saves me and Adam loads of time when "typesetting" too. Otherwise I can give you access to the writers section tonight, and a quick overview of how it works then (busy day at work today)

Morning all, back in the office after a mad weekend!
If you ever miss a big game of rugby and are familiar with downloading torrents, then there’s a website called across the tasman . com (remove the spaces) where kind people all over the world record and rip the match and put it up for all to download. If anyone needs any tips on how to download torrents, just let me know, it’s a 5 min set up and it’s straight forward after that.
I caught the 2 games with Irish involvement over the weekend, Leinster looked good in attack in the first half then switched to a defensive style in the second half, we looked good but Clermont next means no complacency will be allowed. Ulster played fantastically, with Gilroys try marginally nicking it from O’Driscoll for try of the weekened. But the first phase purists (red stag) may not entirely agree.
