The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Belfast
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has ventured to Belfast, as Red Stag is still struggling to come to terms with Munsters QF loss to Ulster
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Brian McLaughlin, John Hart, Duncan Bell, Michael Lynagh, Mick O'Driscoll, Deiniol Jones and Shane Williams.
Get well "Noddy" Lynagh - our thoughts are with you.

Anyone see that show on BBC last night about the lad who fell down a hill, had a stroke and when he recovered he realized he was gay? It was a very tabloid kind of show, herself loved it though.
It wasn't even that he fell down a hill, he did a forward roll and it caused him to have a stroke. They covered the story on Wales Today last night (a nice bit of BBC advertising).

The scariest thing about it all Lucky was that you could have a stroke just by rolling down a hill.

Afternoon pub
That is a shock about Michael Lynagh, he's only 48. Wish him well.
Shame you won't be heading north this time LB, but there'll be other opportunities no doubt.
Today is my Friday! and not back in until next Tuesday 3 hours of work between now and then

Yeah, Swanny. We'll all meet up for sure one day. You never know when circumstances may change. Still a slight chance I'll get over... but not in May. Maybe after the Olympics when things have quietened down?

I see that Premier Rugby have decided to essentially segregate the fans at the London Double Header in September by only allocating each clubs tickets to specific sections. It's been very unpopular amongst fans on twitter and the blogs.

Lads, we shut that debate down for a reason. Keep it out of the pub please.

Time for my annual Simon and Garfunkel miss heard lyrics confession.
Does anyone remember "50 Ways..." was on the radio about 2 years ago and I was singing along quite happily when I realised for the first time that Paul Simon was not suugesting that "Lee" took a long walk off a short pier?

The only words I understand in "Wuthering Hights" by Kate Bush is 'Heathcliffe' (and only then because I've read the book) 'it's me' and 'ooh, it gets hard'

Bikkies,
Are you worried that you can not give her an impartial review or are you worried that she will not think it's a fair review?

Pints for Sin and Feckless.
So. Big games coming up in the PRO12. The Ulster Presbyterian Cult v The Ladyboys. Sexshy Scarlets v The Munster Cabbage Patch Assassins. Warriors v an ever improving Treviso. O's v Dragons. Blues v Edinburgh - who really need to get their mojo going again.
The big one is in Belfast. Fascinated to see what kind of teams and benches both teams put out. Should be illucidating...
Dull day in The Dam.

To Whom it May Concern,
Despite a personal friendship with the applicant I must make my feelings clear. She was clumsy, inattentive and likely to lead to low levels of satisfaction.
Your Sincerely
Mickado
P.S. she also isn't very good at her job.

I can say without fault Mickado is an excellent typist. I reasoned this on his superb fingerwork. Additionally he possesses a great inner competitiveness, based on the fact he always loves to come first without exception.

I was so disappointed. He was in a shop with a euro and was buying a bar of chocolate and he bought a Snickers. I was full sure he was reaching for the Mars bars. So close.

Ah we'll say no more about it.
There is an old Chinese proverb which speaks about how hard it is to manage multiple affairs.
Like Pumpkins in Water, One Pops Up As You Hold Another Down
Give her the bad review Mick and get it over it. Do the professional thing.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Belfast
Lads I'm off my game today, I'm not explaining myself properly. It's only awkward because I don't deal with her at all, so the professional thing to do would be to reply with "I cannot comment on her as I do no work with her", but because there was a thing she'll get all funny with me.
You lads have a much more active imagination than I gave you credit for, since when has a "thing" meant "I wiped it in the curtains!"?
MrsP, maybe only the elite few hear "quay" instead of "key"...? Probably not though.
