If so that break by Djokovic could be highly significant. Let's hope the rain doesn't turn the match into a fiasco.

Yep, but it won't be the last.

You can bank that one

Nadal has served two double faults already and has in three service games in this match been broken twice more than he has in the whole of the rest of the tournament.

What does that mean?

As soon as Djokovic got that first break I knew this match had changed to go from Nadal winning to Djokovic winning and I think it's pretty likely this first set is going to Djokovic.

Given Nadal had a double break and was 3-0 up and this is the French Open, this is astounding. Djokovic is now pushing Nadal on his own serve, I hate to say this match is over but it does look like it may not be 5 sets anymore...

Heavens, it's 3-3 now. Rafa turned tentative.

It's 6:55am, my wife is still in bed, and I am feeding my 3-year-old.

It's getting tense, I already had two cappuccinos, and I am stealing my kid's blueberries.

I said on another thread that Federer would have preferred the court wet as it stops Nadals bounce. Seems Djokovic enjoys that too.

Not so lovely that one.

But I think the set so far is showing that if Nole plays as well as he played last year, the match-up is still working the same as last year. This is on Nole's racquet.

If either Djokovic wins or pushes Nadal very close, then it probably means he would be on track to defend his Wimbledon and US Open titles.

The big difference in the breaks of serve is that Djokovic has already come through to the final having given up many breaks of serve, whereas Nadal only gave up one break of serve on his passage to the final.

Now we'll see if Nadal is mentally tough, will he hold onto his serve and take the first set?

Or will he be broken....?

There is a banner outside the home of a person by name Soderling.

It reads: "Home of the only person ever to beat Nadal at RG"

Looks like that banner stays there for another year at least.

The problem is that Rafa is doing to Novak is what he has done to countless other players: make Novak hit the extra shot. As simple as it sounds, it can be unnerving, especially considering the fact that Novak has not played that well this tournament.

He needs 2011 Djokovic to come back.
