The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Mendoza
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to Mendoza - the city at the foothills of the Andes and one of the venues for the inaugural Rugby Championship.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Rory McIlroy, Sam Cane, Juan José Imhoff, Eben Etzebeth, Jake Schatz and Rob McCusker.

Tim Ryan of Munster is in our midst Luckless. Its 'we' now.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Mendoza
Ulster team for Leicester;
Ulster (15-9): J Payne; C Gilroy, C Farrell, L Marshall; M Allen, N O'Connor, M Heaney (1-8): C Black, N Brady, D Fitzpatrick, J Muller (c), L Stevenson, R Diack, A Birch, N Williams;
Replacements: R Lutton, R Herring, N Annett, J Afoa, A Macklin, N McComb, M McComish, S Doyle, B McIlroy, P Jackson, C Cochrane, S Olding, R Andrews, P Nelson.
That's not bad, considering we are missing all our internationals basically. We could be on track to developing some good strength in depth!

It'll never be "we" unless I'm conversing with Luckless or Rhino
Prydie should go well for Dragons though.

A hand in every pot Rev. Morale victories shall be mine no matter who wins.
I do agree about Prydie though. I am surprised he moved on especially as Ospreys lost Bowe and Shane Williams. I assumed that it would be his chance.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Mendoza
Stag, Ryan might end up playing for the USA so it could all be for nothing.
Wasn't in yesterday any big or shocking stories to report?
Prop, I know your girlfriend has a gaff there but if your looking from some last minute advice on Florida, drop us a line. Might be able to help you out.

Prydie was on loan with Wasps following injuries to our 'VW' last season. He signed for The Dragons at the end of the regular season.
Be interesting to see what Morgan Stoddart's younger brother is like too.

Hound,
Speaking of your VW, I like the look of Wade. Is he good enough for England or even a bolter with the Lions?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Mendoza
Stsg - Wade is more likely to be bolter for the Lions than to figure for the England 1st XV imo. Even though he is in the Saxons squad.
Mind you, Gatland (assuming he gets the gig) seems to have a preference for size out on the wings atm.
Both V = Varndell and Wade start against Leeds tomorrow in what is the strongest squad we have have had for many a long
month.
Launchbury, Poff and Ashley Johnson start in the back row, with Everard, Haskell and Vunipola backing up. Ouch!

Hound, thanks for that.
I am a fan of the "little and large" approach when it comes to wingers. One big and robust. One smaller and extremely elusive.

He is a spectacular attacker, and I had him down as an England cert and a potential Lion as he looked good in defence (punching above his weight) in the AP, but in South Africa he looked too lightweight and missed some tackles. If he can improve his tackling just a little he should be in the England team. IMO.

Stag, almost every time a politician or some other notable is in the news accused of something, they'll make a statement saying they 'refute' the allegations. It's the wrong word to use. It doesn't mean what they think it means. And the more the word's used in this way (the wrong way), the more people will think that to refute means to deny or reject.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Mendoza
That happens a lot.
Its like how people use the word "ignorant" which means to not know something.
Many people believe it means to be rude or obnoxious.
I get what you mean. Just wasn't sure was it the word or the content of the story that you were unhappy with.

Looking forward to seeing Dan Evans, Tom Prydie and Ian Nimmo in Dragons colours (well, colour) for the first time, and our pack looks pretty strong. Hopefully Jack Dixon gets some game time off the bench, he's a real talent.
I see you found Nimmo.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Mendoza
Evening folks
Long time no speak, had two weeks off work and ended up in chefs, which as per usual was a superb weekend, reckon I put in a stone over the weekend, the food (and drink) was unreal. When I came back to London I had a friend over from oz for a fee days, went to watch the Olympic triathalon in Hyde park one day, went to see Ted the next then went for a day trip to oxford, which was a great day out, we rented some bikes and rode up the rover for a few hours stopping off for lunch and beers in the pubs along the way. My perfect way to spend a day really
Headed off to Ireland the next day for five days in Kerry. Drove from fulham to cathardaniel in Kerry on the Friday, it took about 16 hours including breaks and a ferry, but once we got to Ireland it didn't seem so bad. Reckon I was comforted by the bottle of buckfast haha.
Spent Saturday out on the boat fishing and sightseeing. Ireland is such a beautifful olace, people just need to explore it a little more.
Oh and did a bit of drinking along the way.....

Dragons won 18-12. Was 18-3 up after 55 minutes. Scored two nice tries and looked sharp. We went quiet, McShingler and Allinson came on and turned it round for Irish a bit.
Good win though.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Mendoza
Nah just taking it easy mate, I have been very busy lately. Just went to see all the family today really, and I have a lot of people to see later this week before they go off abroad to uni etc. So this weekend is for resting.
Plus my job starts in a week, which I really cannot wait to begin. Getting up at like half 5 every morning will be new territory for me though.
