The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Taihape
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to Taihape - The Gumboot Capital of the World!
http://www.taihape.co.nz/
We also welcome our newest member, Amber ...who no doubt will have an interest in those boots!
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Aaron Smith, Topsy Ojo, Jason Shoemark, Tom Rees, Gonzalo Garcia, Leo the Leinster Lion and Lalakai Foketi up on the wall.

The referee alerted somebody on his microphone to get security to try identify the culprits in the stand.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Taihape
ROG's defence hasn't deteriorated. It was always a case of trying to make people fall over him. Put in a good effort. I can't see how you would bay for his head now any more than before. In PYS last year he and POC were the difference. The guy is a street fighter. He calls the shots when he needs to. If your pack aren't up to the job of giving him the armchair ride anymore, by all means drop him, but to say that's due to his defence...
I know you mentioned the other stuff, but again that's down to his pack not being what they were.

Glas, I think its straight forward enough. His defense was an inconvenience that we could turn a blind eye to when our game plan suited his skills.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Taihape
He was actually at fault at some point in all three tries. He did the things he usually does well well and the things he doesn't usually do well badly.
Munster would be a dangerous animal indeed if they had a more aggressive, attack minded player at 10.

Some good news.

Some of the WAGS of Nevin's Ulster team mates were raising funds by competing in the RunHer event at the weekend.
He would have been very proud!

I was guessing maybe it was the name of your prize ram. Since I clearly wasn't interested enough to make note of the name (I presume you've mentioned him before?) I was trying to cover my ignorance with a tired old allusion to Shane Williams

You can eat a pork-pie in yer hand. As long as its not just out of the microwave.
I think a real pie must be able to be eaten easily from the hand. Messy with Sheperds Pie though, I'll admit that.
I cant believe I'm having this conversation.
Story bud? :Erdinger:
I'm nearly done with 4 HC games before Christmas man. Just need to sort out the Leinster v ASM game. And the Christmas Bash. Ah I love them. Dublin is brilliant leading up to Christmas.

Almost had a heart attack.
Amber has somehow developed a rather usain bolt turn of speed over the past day, and because she rushed out into the garden I had to chase after her but the only shoes to hand were my dads!(meaning I couldn't walk v well let alone run after her!) She then bounds directly to the part of the garden that has a nice wall which has a delightful 2m drop the other side of it. The little bugger made a bee line right for it and usually she struggles to stop quickly. Had a proper omfg! moment, thought she was going to take a right tumble, but she found something interesting to smell instead so stopped right at the edge.

Dreamer,
Our dozzy mutt decided she really really really needed to leap over a wee wall on a walk with MrP when she was a pup. Unfortunately she decided to do this when they were going over a bridge!!!
I don't think either of them were ever so grateful for her lead!
Lemon Meringue or Key Lime?????

Cari.
The lady I was sat beside at Ravenhill on Friday night has got to be Tommy's second greatest fan.
I told her about your Dublin Airport experience and she was well jealous!
Then Tommy waved at me when he came out to thank the fans with the rest of the team (I had just yelled, "Where were the 2 tries Tommy?") and she tried to insist he'd waved at her.

Shepherd's Pie is neither made of, nor eaten exclusively by, Shepherds.
Cottage Pie is neither made of, nor eaten exclusively in, Cottages.
These are ersatz pies, they are clearly misnomers in every sense, they cannot and must not be trusted.
Pasties are made from a single piece of pastry folded over.
Pies have a case and they have a lid, anything that does not have BOTH and yet claims to be a pie, should be hunted down with torches and pitchforks and denounced as a monster of Frankenstein.
That is all.
