The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Taihape
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to Taihape - The Gumboot Capital of the World!
http://www.taihape.co.nz/
We also welcome our newest member, Amber ...who no doubt will have an interest in those boots!
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Aaron Smith, Topsy Ojo, Jason Shoemark, Tom Rees, Gonzalo Garcia, Leo the Leinster Lion and Lalakai Foketi up on the wall.

There is the Vere Suite*, which is towards the left rear of the car park, and opposite the Green King tent…..which probably won’t be allowed on Saturday as Heinefizz are the official ‘beer’ sponsor
* It is for STHs only, but as it was built for the football club it has all the welcoming ambience and atmosphere of an asteroid. I went in there once –‘nuff said.
I will see what the others in my crew are up to and will call or text you if I can get up to the ground a bit earlier.

Are any of them white? I've seen plenty of white 4x4s, which is the least practical colour if you're going to take it offroad - which, of course, most of the owners have no intention of doing.

There are 3 schools within 500m of my apartment and if I’m late for work or early coming home the roads are JAMMED with bloody 4x4’s. Pointless bloody things living in a suburb.
Heard a great quote the other day, can’t remember who said it though – “an advanced society is not one where the poor drive cars, it’s one where the rich use public transport”
I’d happily never own a car for the rest of my life to be honest.

We were in a bar last time on the halfway line(ish), in the stand opposite the WWFC printed stand. I strongly suspect they'll go in there again.

Not bad. I've seen clips of Aussie League-ies doing that too.
Now doing this kind of thing in a match is impressive https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMXomOLcaJM

Umbria is bordered by Tuscany to the west, Marche to the east and Lazio to the south. Mostly hilly or mountainous, its topography is dominated by the Apennines, with the highest point in the region at Monte Vettore on the border of the Marche, at 2,476 m (8,123 ft), and the Tiber valley basin, with the lowest point at Attigliano, 96 m (315 ft). It is the only Italian region having neither coastline nor common border with other countries.
Slightly better weather maybe??

Mick - I'd be glad never to have a car too, necessity dictates I must get one though, but then living in the sticks is a bit different.
And I'm on the train to the diff!
Don't know how much more I'll be able to post in here so just want to say good luck to everyone's teams this weekend. Hope that everyone who is meeting up has an utterly brilliant time!
And a special to asbo, welcomeo to.the heino

Evening All
Hope everyone who's going to a match this weekend enjoys it (unless you're a Treviso fan ).
I'm freeeee until next Tuesday!! Going to head to Westest Wales on Saturday for a day or two. That means I can watch Tommy's match tomorrow night online but then I'll have to wait until the highlights programme Saturday for the others. Priorities...priorities...

Dublin could do with a lot more like you Mick. As they could in most cities. If I ruled the World, I would ban them from all cities. People would be healthier, richer and the environment & quality of life in the cities, would take a quantum leap forward.
But, most people are fairly selfish about and in - their cars. They'll drive em 200 metres to the shops. The fat, lazy, selfish, stupid, polluting, basterds.
See you on Sat bud. Looking forward to it.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Off to Belfast tonight and Dublin tomorrow.
My season starts here.
Believe.

0-5 at ht prop. Glaws are making heavy weather of it against a team who probably have no interest in this competition. They won't want to disappoint their fans though.
If I was still doing the sportsguru stuff* I'd have had you by 12 and no bp with the team you put out. Don't diss French front rows.
* I really can't be arsed to do the comps these days.

Absolute lunacy from Gloucester- they just worked their way into the 22! It was there. Mont de Marsan want a scrap, because they're not very good. They've offered nothing. Now they have a shot because Glos couldn't keep their heads in the face of provocation and suddenly the French are back in it.
Idiocy from Gloucester.
