The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Dubai دبيّ
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to Dubai, host city for the upcoming round of the IRB Rugby World 7s.
Visitors are reminded to dress sensibly and carry their working-'holiday' permit with them at all times and if possible; engage in their sinful drinking habits within the smoky confines of the underground "English Pub". We have more big screens than you could ever dream of...
If you need to go for a swim at the beach - application forms for towels and umbrellas are available at the bar.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Ricky Ponting, Bradley Davies, Andrew Hore and Craig Gilroy above the bar.

Afternoon all.
Just back from Nando's. Littlest girly has fallen asleep and the two bigger ones are at the cinema with nana, so it looks like it's Toulouse vs. Ospreys for me.
Happy days.

Dragons winning 21-0 in Mogliano. Jevon Groves has seemingly been red carded though.

Ospreys are going to get hammered here. 15 minutes and they've already conceded two tries. They'd want to start making their tackles.

Their first up tackling has been appalling Notch. If it carries on like that this could end up a cricket score!

Muller has broken his arm. They are saying 8 weeks but I would be hopeful it might be a bit less.
We will miss him next week, no doubt about that!

Tuohy and McComb next week. I'd say Henderson isn't quite ready to play full games in the second row.
It's a massive loss, our lineout always looks a bit hairier without him in there.

I could've told you the O's will get hammered last week. thankfully I can't watch it so I'm watching a classic film with Richard Burton and Peter O'Toole instead. They don't make them like this anymore.

Tough fixture Cari.
I'm not watching the match but it sounds like they had a dreadful start but then were doing well.

Yes it's a tough one, but the lack of top O's players really doesn't help. I'm glad I can't put myself through it.

Ospreys did well to fight back in the second 20 minutes of the first half, but they've been totally outclassed and outmuscled since half-time. They've actually defended well since then but it's been wave after wave of rouge et noir... 27-7 with five minutes to go, and Toulouse the TBP in the bag a while ago.

Well done Os, they've pulled a try back. It took until 75 minutes for them to visit the Toulouse 22 in the second half but they got the score when they get there.

Ah well at least it wasn't the cricket score I'd feared. Meanwhile Richard Burton is about to be murdered by his pal Peter.

Not really considering we were so poor. I was sitting in front of some Exeter fans. Their open side dropped the ball in the second half and I said "good grief you're almost as bad as us!" She wasn't impressed "that's my son!"

S4C are showing today's HC highlights. Don't know if I can stomach the O's one.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Dubai دبيّ
They had their good moments, Cari. Without much possession they failed to turn a couple of promising opportunities into scores.
Toulouse lacked precicion for much of the game and McCallister did not really get them moving. The ST pack seemed to take it upon themselves to try and get over the try line. There was some heroic defence by the Os at times, but woeful first up tackling cost them two tries.

Off to watch the Blouse tomorrow. Need a recce if the Dragons get binned

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Dubai دبيّ
I'm going to guess Prop tried to stretch out over the line and dropped it, and for MOTM he played well.
Have only seen one Heino game this weekend, been very busy, some amazing results, hoping Leinster make it four for the Irish provinces today, happened in the last round of games last year I think. Went to Thomond yesterday for the match, good game, Sarries probably deserved to win but I thought the ref was a bit whistlehappy, haven't watched the game back yet though. Was not impressed with Sarries really, when Farrell went in at 10 they showed a bit in attack but I thought they were awful, don't really watch the Prem but presume that was them playign really poor?
My feelings on ROG over the last year and half and it seems now the opinion has reached the general masses, I'm beginning to think ROG was never that good, without Stringer and a World Class pack he would have been nothing. ROG didn't realise that. David Wallace was an absolutely tremendous player, imagine how good he could have been without having to baby ROG.
I think I went to a restaurant on Stag's recommendation (he runs that RugbyMunster Twitter accoutn does he?) absolutely super stuff. MrsP think you went there last year, Chocolat?

Hi T!
Good to see you.
The absence of all the Munster fans on here has led me to speculate that there was only actually one all along!
Chocolat is a nice place indeed. They were super with the kids too which sometimes is not the case in that type of place.
I don't think Sarries deserved to win that match.

Will hopefully get on a bit more before Christmas busy at the moment. Was a nice place and great value and the food was very nice (their ribs were a bit difficult to eat, couldn't pick them up as they were so freaking hot, had to use a fork and a knife!). €15 for a 3 course meal in a place as good as that was unbelievable.

Absolutely daft by Lloyd Williams in the Blues game. Tipped his opposite number and dumped him on his head. Straight red card.
