The Culture Cup round 6
First topic message reminder :
Happily, the first Spice Girls Single not to go to Number 1 was Stop, it was kept off top spot by Run DMC vs Jason Nevins - It's Like That.
seanmichaels wrote:Rowley wrote:seanmichaels wrote:Rowley wrote:JuliusHMarx wrote:I think I'll upset Jeff now and say that Blackberry Way is a better song than Waterloo Sunset.
Why would the fact you're a moron upset me?
As an aside though another Move song, Flowers in the Rain was the first song ever played on Radio One.
That could and should have been posted on me remarkably unpopular Music anecdotes thread....
Sean, if the thread had been called useless music trivia it almost certainly would have been. I have any number of such facts I could amaze you good people with.
Hit me.

You should be proud of it, though Julius's kids have probably been saying "Father, one is feeling frightfully soporific" since they were 2.

I think I do, I was so inspired by your review of them that I intend to buy some as a Valentine's Day gift. I was going to have them delivered but am so fearful of them being damaged that I'm going to venture into the John Lewis on Oxford Street tomorrow, clutching a £10 note, to demand their finest box.

No, but I'd be prepared to walk all the way from Bond Street to Tottenham Court Road, then to Charing Cross, then part of the way along the Strand, then back to Charing Cross.

That's true but it would cost much more than a tenner and would mean I'd have to wear my long-sleeve shirt. And you can't put a price on getting boulevard-cred with Julius.

But if you buy Cremes Parisiennes, she might share them with you. If she doesn't you'll know she's a very sensible girl and is worth hanging on to. It's a win-win situation.

I have been getting that Sean, it is down to a lag on the DNS server, and just looks like a warning of dodgyness.

I know. I have this new nokia phone and it is driving me up the wall. I want to be able to look at internet in emergency, phone someone or take pictures. Instead I've got a screen that's like a bloody game of Tetris.

I intend on using it once at work, and once when I get home. I need to go to the supermarket tonight so may even attempt to get it in there if the opportunity arises.
