Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
First topic message reminder :
I think the other point...is we need defenders....badly!
Surely we have enough to cover the attacking options.

I feel like crying, everything seemed to be going so well for us in early July but since then nothing.

If it's Aubameyang then I'd be concerned he was nicking my old pace abuse attack options from my Juve team as I had him and Depay supporting Neymar.

Gunna need a lot of money to prize Reus away from Dortmund (id guess north of 55m)
Well United have a lack of pace bar Depay so would make sense to buy Aubameyang (30m were rumoured)

We're spunking out around 40m on a 19 year old, 55m on a worldie is nothing!
(And that net spend with the De Gea sale puts us at -29m I believe?)

Cant keep up with other transfers. Brown Ideye has left our shores. Forest after free agent Hoilett (makes it even more likely Antonio is off). Glenn Murray fee agreed between B'Mouth and Palace. Lindegaard at West Brom.
And Marseille sign Lamela.

As a utd fan, i'm annoyed wilson may be heading out with Martial coming in. I'm not bothered he's being touted as the next best thing, Wilson has come through the system, scored bucket loads of goals at every level he's played at and offers PACE! why hasn't he been given a go? This is looking shambles atm, however, it could all change with a couple of good signings on the last day but I really can't see it. I'll reserve final judgement till tomorrow.

Juventus have signed Marseille midfielder Mario Lemina on loan with an option to buy for 10mill. Good buy. Only 21 years old and could be the next Vidal.

You and I know that but Woodward is probably still trying to get Real to offer him as a part of the De Gea deal.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
Reports now Rojo may leave tomorrow. That would amaze me but it over the past few months Van Gaal seemed to be giving him the cold shoulder. Shame because I liked Rojo, showed glimpses he could be a good defender last year. If he goes and with Evans leaving, it leaves us with Smalling; Blind; McNair and jones as our cb options, so there must be another arriving if he leaves. Possibility surely then of almost 3 players coming in. Incredible we've left it this late AGAIN!

It must mean a cb is coming in. No other option. Have no idea who it could be however. Greizemann has tweeted something random that has sent fans into disarray. A player of his calibre isn't tweeting anything the day before he's apparently moving. As much as i'd love him at utd.

Not sure where the Rojo rumour is coming from, it links back to Mark Ogden of the Telegraph but he's not said anything on it looking at his history.

Juventus are close to signing Inter Milan midfielder Hernanes. They are making some good buys ala replacing Vidal and Pirlo.

Rojo can only leave within the next couple of hours so i'd be surprised to see that happen, there are no murmurings of us signing anyone other than Martial so think we've just screwed up.

Oh for the love of god please be right Balague. Think I've been pretty consistent all summer in saying he's the one player I want Utd to sign.
There is a buyout fee.
He is a Utd fan.
Woodward get it done.

I'm gonna take the greizemann stuff with an extra large pinch of salt to say the least. Yes, exactly the player we need, but would be amazed if atletico would let him go this late in the window.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
Albion wise I reckon:
Ins: Ledley/Jedinak, Phillips, Jose Enrique
Outs: Lescott, Sessegnon, Pocognoli, Anichebe
Still got a feeling there's a twist in the Berahino saga, if he goes I expect we'll try push through a deal for Austin or a loan for Wilson(which may happen anyway)

Would be a standard Woodward man sausage up seeing as that buyout fee went up by £20mil the other week and Martial would have been half the price before signing a new contract also.
It won't happen we're stuck with what we've got.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
Like I said, allot of utd fans, rightly or wrongly are having meltdowns at what is happening atm. The De Gea stuff could have been sorted earlier but I think Van Gaal wanted to take it to the last minute in the hope he'd stay, or at the least we get the deal we want, which is what it looks like has happened. Looking at what we've signed so far, its a good window SO FAR: Schneiderlin, Schweinstiger, Darmian and Depay. Add another striker (as well as martial) and top winger and a cb IF rojo leaves and its a great window. Players like Hernandez, Evans, Lindegaard etc aren't good enough for us, so no tears shed on them leaving.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
Greizemann rumours seem to be picking up and so are the Laporte rumours. french trio, makes sense right haha!
On the players leaving, what player there is a really going to affect us other than de gea:
Hernandez - not good enough
evans - not good enough
lindegaard - not good enough and have cover now
januzaj - would have been good squad option but loan could do him good
wilson - would have liked to see him play more but loan will give him the chance to play more and develop
Rafael - Injury prone and inconsistent
Same players utd were calling for to be sold are now furious they've gone. Sorry but they had to, we've cleared the deadwood and hopefully come tomorrow, we would have brought in at least 3 good players.

Mbokani in on a loan with an option to buy for £5m.
Chuffed with that - low risk being a loan, potentially high reward player

I wish I still had your zest for life Liam, the reality is we will not be spending in excess of £100mil on three players on transfer deadline day, the likelihood is it's Martial and Martial alone.

I would normally agree but I just can't see that being all. It just can't. Rooney and Martial as the only strikers? another one has to come in. Winger is needed badly as we only have Depay/Young/Mata. If rojo leaves, which is a big if, then a cb must come in. Otherwise, we will definitely be finishing 4th or below.

Johnson would be ok for them - gives them something they haven't got. Butterfield is just a worse version of the midfielders that are already there
