Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
First topic message reminder :
I think the other point...is we need defenders....badly!
Surely we have enough to cover the attacking options.

The Derby link is horseshit. Chairman came out last week and said he wont be sold to a rival.

The BBC wrote an update today about how Spurs might be after Kouyate now that Berahino seems unlikely. Because they're very similar players.

Dirt cheap backup. With Valencia injured and Carroll always injured we need someone to fill the gap occasionally. Those three signings take me from scared to ecstatic about our squad.
Adrian, Randolph, Spiegel
Jenks, Cresswell, Hendrie, Tomkins, Reid, Collins, Ogbonna, Henry, O'Brien
Song, Kouyate, Noble, Obiang, Oxford
Moses, Jarvo, Payet, Lanzini
Sakho, Valencia, Carroll, Zarate, Jelavic.

Turkish, good free kick taker from Leverkusen. Again, nothing mind-blowing from United.
Martial has passed his medical.
Whatever happens from here, United have fouled up massively, Woodward/LVG haven't got a clue. The squad lacks depth, unbalanced & will be woefully inadadequate for the four competitions they are in

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
To be honest, if the deals that are mentioned go through I'd say United have done well. The early stuff was good, they only needed to add some finer details. Martial and Calhanoglu suit the needs. Rooney is first choice, we all know that, so a young striker with potential makes sense. A 19 year old and a 21 year old

More reports, probably more realistic suggesting wilson out on loan (but with emergency recall) and LVG is happy with no more business being done
17 outfield senior players.........17!!!
I had hope at the end of last season but Ed and LVG have sold that too

I don't think United fans will share the same opinion as you do Dolphin
17 players for four competitions is shocking. Basically playing a risky game now with injuries & nobody wants to sell in January or move prior to a Euro's, if United come calling to fix this mess. Embarrassing.

United started strong, but then Woodward did his typical chase a few big names to get the fans excited. Now they're throwing money around to try and desperately fill a few holes in the squad.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
A rough Google translate of Real Madrid's statement regarding De Gea.
I'll let you make your mind up on what they think of it all.
1. Manchester United did not open through negotiation by the federal rights of David de Gea until morning yesterday.
2.- Real Madrid, despite the difficulties of an operation of this kind in the last day of registration, you agreed to initiate these conversations.
3. When the Manchester United accessed through negotiation this morning yesterday makes it contingent to reaching an agreement with Real Madrid player Keylor Navas to be incorporated from the British club this season, and reports that contacts with representatives of the player.
4. Real Madrid and Manchester United reach a rapid agreement on the transfer of both players. After the drafting of the relevant contractual documents required and in order to proceed with sufficient time to process both the FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS) as its entry in the LFP time, Real Madrid Manchester United forwards contracts at 13 . 39 hour Spanish
5. The Manchester United sent its comments to the contracts eight hours later, at 21:43 Spanish time, including minor modifications. Not being relevant, all changes were accepted immediately by Real Madrid, with the intention to register the player while both TMS and Professional Football League.
6. Real Madrid after signatures Players and Keylor Navas De Gea, sent the English club said contracts signed at 23:32 Spanish time, we await to receive the final documents signed by Manchester United.
7. The Manchester United reached the final agreement with representatives of Keylor Navas at 23:53 Spanish time and is at that time when the contracts are sent to the player to be signed.
8. The Manchester United entered the TMS data from the operation of David de Gea, not those of Keylor Navas, at 00:00 Spanish time, simultaneously referring to Real Madrid transfer contracts signed. Real Madrid receives the full documentation at 00:02 and tries to access the TMS but it was already closed.
9. At 00:26 Spanish time the computer system of FIFA TMS makes an invitation to Real Madrid to fill Player data David de Gea, given that the deadline for registration in England remains open to this day. Real Madrid, in the eventuality of a contentious course of the transfer of the player, decided to refer the contract to the Professional Football League, even knowing that the deadlines had expired.
10. In short, the Real Madrid has made everything you need, and at all times, to carry out these two transfers.

There is really not a lot to like about Real Madrid. I wouldnt trust them as far as I could throw Florentino Perez; who rumour has it purposefully made sure the deal wasnt done so as to save money and keep Navas whilst being able to blame the ending on anyone else.

Ok, time to apologise to Manchester United and Ed Woodward:
Manchester United have made a £100,000 bid for Newport County's 17-year-old defender Regan Poole in a deal that could rise to £400,000.

Tim is more of a Brazilian correspondent then the whole of South America. Plus Funes Mori kept Balanta out of the team so he cant be that Poopie.

Vickery is usually very good on Chilean prospects as well, remember he did a number of articles about Universidad de Chile a few seasons ago when they won the Copa Sudamericana. I recall him praising a lad called Andy Polo for a long while who I then used to buy in all FM style games in the hope he'd come good.
