Saw an article on Twitter last night about giant house spiders marauding their way across the UK. Lots of videos and pictures of reasonably sized harmless spiders accompanied the article - not one of them would survive being stamped on by a hi-tec.

No, I was digging about again in that area on Saturday but only uncovered some decent sized snails. I think the centipedes may be re-fortifying their position having learned that a lot of legs and some tiny pincers are no match for a knackered Scotsman with a spade.
