I beg your pardon?
No doubt the mods will do nothing about that.

Not surprised at that.
Laughable, but not surprising for several reasons, the change if it results in a tiff with Russia. Let's allow them to get away with whatever they like then! Sorted.

I know. It is a crap situation.
It's like the problem in Syria being how many dead children do you have to see before we decide we have to do something. The bigger problem is then what the 'something' is and how much our wonderful government will mess it up

Sorry but in my opinion this all got out of hand as soon as the super powers tried using their influence in places it should keep their noses out of. For far too long they have been playing the moral policemen of the world in countries thousands of miles from their own. The result is the situation we have now.

All I know is that what comes out of military action in the Middle East? Nothing. Haven't we learnt that from the countless wars in that area and countless bombing regimes. All that comes from it is more incriminations and more deaths although this time we are flirting with armageddon.

I think there are different levels of corruption but right now there is an attitude that anything goes because May won't do anything. Because of that it's easy for things like awarding contracts linked to friends and relatives etc to happen. I don't buy into the consiparcy theories but try to keep an open mind, because the current situation is just not normal.

Think it just reflects the polarised positions now. Bit like Trump - attack Corbyn more, simply entrench his support more. Still think Labour are at high water - nothing they're saying is enticing any middle ground floaters, let alone any right wing voters. Some way to go, but could easily believe there'll a minority Government next time as well.TRUSSMAN66 wrote:lostinwales wrote:TRUSSMAN66 wrote:Yougov

His uncharacteristically poor spelling led me to believe he was inebriated and I offered him a solution to errors on a mobile device.
3 days later you weigh in calling people phalluses.

How has this shameful Windrush fiasco suddenly - it seems - just appeared? Have I been sleeping or has it hit the headlines from almost nowhere?
A disgraceful weasel worded apology in the modern way from May in Parliament to ''those who have mistakenly received letters''. That doesn't go any way to addressing the uncertainty and worry of a person who has received such a letter as to whether it was sent mistakenly and can be put in the bin or whether it was sent intentionally and still applies.

Also apparently almost 50 people have actually been deported through this horrendous oversight b the Home Office stemming from a few years ago. I wonder who was in charge of that department then?

Just as its coming out that Mays husband is an executive of an investment company that owns atleast 10% of the company that built the missiles we dropped on Syria. No surprise the companies share prices rocketed afterwards.
Surely thats a conflict of interest? Put that with the Windrush saga, Brexit, the Skripal poisoning and the damage still being felt since she was Home Sec. she has to go down as the worst PM is history.
And yet people still vote for her and her party. Corbyn isnt perfect but he’s surely better than this.

Re: Political round up.............
Let's all go wayyyyyy OTT with this. Oh, some already have.
Yes, this Windrush thing is a mess, but to blame it all on May is pathetic in the extreme. It's how many years, exactly, since Empire Windrush got here? Ah, 70 years. May was in Government then was she?
As to these documents that were trashed, if all they do is log someone's arrival, they're hardly going to help beyond that are they. Certainly, they aren't going to inform as to whether someone has indefinite leave to remain.
This is as much a fault of the current Government as any other political party going back to the arrival of these people. Tories, Labour, Liberals, SDP, SNP etc.
The important thing is to sort it out now, with sensitivity etc. Stop hyperventilating.

Well May was Home Secretary when the government began telling people they had to leave the UK if they couldn't prove they were here legally - that was people who arrived on the Windrush. Evidently, almost 50 cases have seen people deported that arrived on the Windrush. It was May who was Home Secretary at that time so it happened on her watch. She and the government she worked for were the ones that opened the can of worms and instead of bothering to find out where the people came from etc they were actively moving to deport people - regardless of the legality.

Surely the main issue and where the real fault lies is with the current Government evicting or threatening to evict people without a clearly shown reason for doing so. Unless I've missed it in the past, that's what is so new now and concerning.
The important thing in your penultimate sentence is correct, albeit obvious.

I have to disagree. The Tories, Labour and Liberal I give you but SDP were formed in the early 1980s long after SS Windrush arrived on these shores in 1948 and the SNP was formed in 1934 and had their first MP elected to Westminster in 1945 so not sure what blame he should have laid at his door. The ones foremost to blame are the ones who started up this tirade to out 'illegal' immigrants but led to legal immigrants being asked to leave the UK and that was the Tories. May is trying to shift blame to Labour for destroying their cards but won't wash as they never did the act of ordering innocent people to leave.

I do think we are.
It is clear cut though - to me. It was a Tory government who began this tirade against illegal immigrants (nobody else) and they did not care (or check) who they were ordering to leave. Clueless and heartless.

May deported 48000 indian students if I remember correctly. Because some of them were cheating and she thought it widespread. Turns out she had no evidence that it was widespread and she ended up deporting thousands of innocent students. What a nut.

But worrying for Labour..
Interesting to see if Windrush is good or bad for the Tories.
Racism helped Brexiteers win....A lot of naive...retarded types do tend to blame immigrants for everything..
Soon see if it is an outlier.

The question is when was this poll done? My guess would be around the anti-Semetic row time and prior to the bombing and Windrush scandal. If that is the case then I suggest waiting for the next poll to see how things lie.

Should be Labour dominance in those, no matter what.
8 years of Tory government + protest vote + low turnout + being held in mainly Labour-friendly areas which, with the collapse of UKIP, have little opposition = an easy day in May.
