The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Anyway got me thinking. A few places on our Golf Course have wild raspberries growing. Ripe just around now and very nice. Rule is though, never eat any that are below waist height
Natures candy Rav. My boss sometimes brings in fresh raspberries and blueberries from her garden. Gorgeous!

Here's a really important question. You know when you stub your toe on something and it really hurts, what do you tend to do? Shout? Swear?

I hop around a lot, usually say one swear word before repeatedly saying ow. Then after about 10 seconds it stops hurting and I'm fine.

Swear and shout, repeatedly. I once broke my toe after stubbing it on a tiled step. Then went to a music festival and had a fat man jump on it.
Supergrass “moving” will never sound the same to me again!

Oh and then I finish up by glaring at the thing I stubbed my toe on as though it's all that things fault and not mine for not looking where I was going.

Ultravox had a system
Kraftwerk nearly beat them
And the Yellow Magic Orchestra missed them
Eno rose for Lowe
The Slits became rasta
And the Buzzcocks played faster and faster with adrenalin
John Cooper Clarke he was smart
The Public Image became Limited
The Police were re-released and came out as a three-piece
The Rocky Horror Show became the history of tomorrow
Nina Hagen, she was a German maiden
And the music press revealed their anger
When threatened by the Stranglers
This broadcast was brought to you in 1979
I’m just talking to you over these waves
Not just about another time and another place
And before we knew it
The old wave was gone and controlled

Not sure if it's been mention but Crusaders have withdrawn from super league for next season so I wonder if Alfie will return to Union?

Quoting lyrics from an artist/band that Huggy was referring to earlier (in his somewhat auto-biographically posts ) Just bored Poopie in work, not because there's nothing to do but just waiting on others to do their stuff first Which then means when things are late going in the Testers cop the flak Good job I'm armour-plated

I never liked this song, Cari. It turns out that the singer went on to write songs for Pink, which hasn't made me any fonder of her.

I'm not keen on it either, but it's one of those songs that's so familiar you find yourself singing along uncontrollably. What's really annoying about it is when not very good singers try it on karaoke...
Oh now here's a tune...Otis Redding...

I've only been to karaoke once (I sang too, ''Til there was You' was my song). I remember someone slaughtering 'Don't Stop me Now.'

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Only once I had a go at karaoke....when I still drank funnily enough. I co-murdered "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" singing the girlie parts. The pub at the end of my road does karaoke every Sunday and it's...loud...

Why does anybody in Wales need kareoke? Just turn the jukebox off and give it time.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
We've done Karaoke for my best friends last 2 birthdays now. You can book a karaoke room in Tiger Tiger that can fit about 14 of you. They've got a massive song list to choose from, I love it. Would never want to do karaoke out where everyone could hear me though!

actually this is probably very true. No jukebox back home in the Cwmdu Inn and people always start singing in there. Tis brilliant.
