The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?
FYI, the last pub was :

Because Halfpenny can kick long range goals and Stoddart is a better counter attacker.

Don't be silly Nottins. 221 realistic target I think.
Oh look at that.
India got to be a tad disappointed, given that was nearly 100 runs for the last 2 wickets.

Ah I knew Broad and Swann would help England pull through, brilliant.
Can see India overcoming that total fairly easily though.

Can you make a logical case for Byrne? Even using Gatland's logic? I also think that Shane Williams (I can't believe I'm saying this) is number 30, he may even be 31.

Nah, Shane's going, no way he won't make it, he's one of the first names there I reckon.
Byrne is the only "proper" full back. That's how Gats will see it I feel.
Personally I wouldn't take him, but I honestly can't see him not going.

In fairness I guess losing the first wicket so early will have shocked them. Plus the wicket is playing into the hands of the bowlers rather than batters.

Good evening Pub...just a flying visit on Mickado's lappy which has no J...anyhoo, enjoying myself so far immensly. I didn't get to hook up with my Oz pal cause I couldn't get onto Facebook to read her message on time. Good craic at the quiz last night, and was chuffed our team won I must've walked miles this morning around the city which was cool. Had to come back to the house to shower cause it's been boiling here despite the drizzly weather. Heading back into the city in a bit to meet my hosts.

Evening all. India on top in the test, despite losing a wicket. The weather looks to better for batting over the next few days.
Summer's coming, but c'mon Jimmy A!!!
In rugby news, I read that Gatland had the Wales squad out on the training field at 5am in Poland . Sorry, but what will that achieve?

We'll just forget your Ireland talk during the World Cup will we Hugh?
Ireland U-19s in action against Spain in Euro semi finals. They are losing 4-0. A great acheivment in getting to the tournament, particularly with thier manager. I've only seen few minutes but Spain are a class apart.

Man, Hound... I'm coming to live with you. Your beer & BBQ weekends are the biz!
As for de Chef, well... Its all legendary.
Prop, enjoy it mo chara.
Got some fantastic news today. Our closest friend in NL, had her womb removed last week. They discovered cancer. We were all quietly sheeting ourselves and were pretty down. Her hubby rang me earlier, to say that the Doc told him, that it had spread NOWHERE. They got it ALL. You can never be 100% sure but they are very confident they did. She will need monitoring and no chemo-treatment. So far.
Her hubby was in an awful state and we were minding him. Waiting on the possible dreadful news. Im so happy. We have been in bits for the last week or so - waiting on the operation and the results. Dymps is a lovely Cork Lady (my soul-sis) and is married to a Dutch man (Ben) - I love da bones of them. Our kids grew up together here. They took care of us when we came here 25 years ago. Helped us set up and showed us the Way. They are Family. And our Family is safe. Your health is your wealth...
Going up to see her tomorrow. She wants a can of Draught Guinness and my famous Mexican Casserole. FFS! She can bearly eat... the mad cow. Go Dympy! Hard as nails that one. The Gibson Team will kick in now. Nurse MrsG(for the girlie bits and care) and I'll do what Im told, to help out. Cooking, cleaning and shopping job. Hubby is in the middle of a serious contract (kids are 1000's of miles away) and he needs help for a while. With Pleasure - for Our Dympy. Deep Deep Joy... Boy!
Drinks on da House.
