First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?
RedWine cider guinness Bubbly Ale appletini

3 real ciders and at least 6 local ales on offer in Asbo's local. A true gem of a village pub. All too many of which are being lost around the country.

A wee rant that last bit, but heartfelt. Heritage - keep as much of it as we can, while we still can thumbsup

Hound, read your comment after I posted mine as it was on the next page. I (hazily) can't remember if the malts, mine without water, were after the Friday night session or after the game on the Saturday. All I know it was a great weekend with a great host, hostess and some other top blokes, especially the one who paid for the hospitality and made sure we never had an empty glass cider and yourself.

It looks likely Hughie, but then I've heard that the All Blacks weren't great against Fiji so maybe it'll be closer than people think (including me, I went for the All Blacks by 21). Can't see the 'Boks winning, though.

Richie McCaw created that try with the ruck before taking out a player from the wrong side of the ruck.

Things aren't looking good for the 'Boks at all here. Dan Carter's awareness is something else.

He took the ball off balance then, great individual try.

Agreed on the new All Blacks jersey, Munsty, especially the retro numbers on the back.

Right, I'm off out, 'see' you later folks.

It's weird if I ever have to get up for a Cork,Munster or Ireland match I'm grand. Or even to play my own match. Great work by McCaw in the build up but that isn't a try. Great defending.

What he does is spectacular and can sometimes backfire. What he does is also very eye catching and flashy so of course people love it. Its high risk, positive rugby in some ways which neutrals and pundits like to see. A bit like Quade Cooper.

People are making him out to be one of the best players on the planet right now and while he is good,I don't think he is up there yet. That turnover can't have been legal! McCaw not releasing the tackler.

Edmonton is a poormans Calgary. I guess it doesn't help too much when I love Calgary anyway. Still, it could be worse.

Good result for Wigan, Munster hey. I here the boy Tomkins scored another beaut. Roll on next week for highlights.

Now if Cardiff Blues could bring in a test-class halfback like Weepu I'd think they would be a much better team for it. But they seem to have a wee bit of a problem identifying talent in that area Wink
