Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the David Wallace photo on the bar. That's a banning offence

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Good luck to Rev, hope you get some good game-time OK

As Prop says - THE SEASON STARTS TODAY Yahoo Prop won't need luck, he'll hit his "jumper" no probs

I couldn't make it. Had to learn lineouts and had no time. Glad you had a good night.

All the best Prop. Up the Sarries

Your going to have to get in very early stag, you'll have to watch the game with me, can you fly into heathrow now?? Gatwick would be ok as well but any of the others and you'll struggle to get into the city in time for the game. All Ireland final is the Sunday as well so proper weekend session is on the cards

Morning all,

Hughie/Stag, count me in for some pints Smile.

My replacement phone got delivered this morning, but I have to wait until my flatmate stirs (I think she got in around 5am) to borrow her phone to ring in and activate the SIM.

Good to see Canterbury win the NPC Yahoo which I guess means that the season's finished Wink

I'm heading over hughie's way shortly, a friend in Putney's having a bbq so let's hope the cloud lifts.

Afternoon regs coffee

Have quickly read back....All the best to Prop and Rev in their respective matches today, and Penfro you're very much welcome. Good to see you before you head off to Porthcawl Wink

Have had a busy morning helping some friends of mine set up stalls over at the Mardi Gras. Hopefully it'll stay dry for it, and it looks like there'll be a good turn out again this year.

I'd say that, if all of his potential challengers weren't so utterly batshit insane.

I'm not going to comment on the case because I don't know the specifics, but I think it's its fair to say most banks were fairly negligent in terms of how they handled mortgage lending.

I think it's a bit of both Hughie! Very Happy It's a free festival in Bute Park, and they put on live music, have a fairground, stalls and stuff like that. The public really seem to enjoy it anyway. Apparently Bristol's version was crap though.

Which particular "free party" in Bristol was crap, Cari?

We have loads of them here and I gather from those who go to such things that they are usually quite good.

MrsP - nope I didn't hear any mention of why O'Rourke didn't run on the Channel 4 commentary sorry. Will see if the Beeb have got anything written up on their site at all....nope nothing on their live text Sad

Just seen the final though, amazing race, Sally Pearson ran a CR to win it. Tiffany Porter for GBR clipped the 9th hurdle so finished 4th, she's absolutely gutted bless her.

Bolt just ran a superb race, won the 200m final in 19.40secs

Lemaitre got 3rd! in 19.80, massive PB!

Lemaitre's still really young, there's much more to come from him, mark my words!

They took down the sign within a few hours I think, Cari. You'd think they could show a sense of humour and leave it up - and a fair number of people come to Bristol to see Banksy's work anyway so it would be an added draw.

I have found the site slow for a few weeks now (before the adverts appeared before thats levelled at the reason!)

I checked with forumotion (who provide the hosting) and there is a known problem in the UK with people using a sky/talk talk broadband connection (which I do).

There isnt a time scale on solving it, which really annoys me.

Its not just our forum - its all forums that use the same software.

3-3 now, although we were well set on the Quins line when they infringed so a little frustrating as could have been 7 points.

Hiya Munsty. I'm good. My sister challenged me that I couldn't make a good dinner. I have just gone out to prove her wrong and bought a load of ingredients. Just gotten a call inviting me to my aunts for a big family meal. Ah well my masterpiece will do fine tomorrow instead.

Grilled chicken skewers with a kind of honey/soy sauce marinade. Was gonna put couscous with it.

It was going to be epic. Still will be tomorrow. Did you see Munster players are doing Come Dine with Me to promote healthy eating at home for the team.

First game of the LDH Munsty. In relation to being desperate at outside half the answer is yes and no. Bowden should be first choice 10 and is very good there, but is having to play 12 as we are woefully short on depth there, so on that basis we are short at 10.

Shingler can play both but is young and probably not 100% ready yet.

I checked with forumotion (who provide the hosting) and there is a known problem in the UK with people using a sky/talk talk broadband connection (which I do).

There isnt a time scale on solving it, which really annoys me.

Its not just our forum - its all forums that use the same software.

Cheers hobo, that clears it up for me, I'm on sky at home
