First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the team photos of the World Cup finalists. Or the action shots (put up especially for Cari) of McCaw, Kahui and Corey Jane.

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

I remember borrowing a book about the Beatles from the library when I was about 16 and there was of a photo of George Harrison from the mid-'80s with a bubble perm. To say it was unfortunate is an understatement!

Hoog, hope you're ok pal!

Hound, I am sorry pal and I hope your mate is okay. I wish I was there at Gomez Park today to share a beer with you my friend.

Good day for me, but sadly it was my last game before I go away. Best to go out on a win too Wink

I am currently flying high as a kite (on good times not on sex, drugs or rock and roll. N.B alcohol may be a factor).

Problem is know I can't sleep and I terrified that when I do move off to the land of nod it will be 11 or later before I awaken. As it is the last match of the WC I am genuinely considering powering through the night as done on previous occasions in the last 6 weeks.

Pfft no ones in here anyway! I'm just rambling on to myself! Bunch of lightweights you are! It's Saturday night. The night when things happen!

P.s I am also in the Market for Halloween costume ideas. Usually I'm sorted by mid October but this year I've fallen behind. Last year going out as a Chilean miner went down an absolute storm.

All thoughts welcome...

Morning All coffee

Had a really good kip last night - in bed at ten and didn't wake up until seven this morning. Lush! All ready for the final now. Gooo the All Blacks!!! Kiwi

Notch - great suggestion on the Maori warrior costume. It may be a bit chilly for it over there, but a few drinks later and Willy could cope with that Smile

I'm getting quite excited now. I really hope it's a good game. I don't know whether this World Cup feels different because I was out there but it deserves a great final to cap it all off.

So New Zealand are out to end their "24 year drought". Has anyone wondered when this has been written and spoken about for however long, who do all these people think were champions between 1987 and 1991?

Why? Simple - if I'm a neutral I always support the underdog. What? England? If they're playing I'm certainly not neutral.

Morning. Leaving aside 1999, when France didn't turn up, most of the finals haven't featured much in the way of flair rugby. This will be attritional I reckon. Unless France just cave in....again.
