The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the picture of David Sisi, Jannie de Beer and Glen Webbe above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

PJ,
Don't want to put a dampener on your hopes, but would you not have to outscore the Saints by 6 tries or more to get an Amlin spot? Even if all the other results go your way?

Yep, but Bath are starting to get sexy again MrsP and sexy is as sexy does, besides which, as long as it's possible I'll believe.

Can't believe Leinster didn't get a try there. Glasgow defence is solid, and Leinster are playing slow ball.

Handy having a backup kicker eh?
Waiting for the Schmidt effect in the 2nd-half.
Well played by Warriors. Great defence.

Im always confident Billy. Think we need O Malley on and move McFadden to 12. That would help open em up more.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Afternoon all
I've had the most brilliant weekend. Would have been the best one ever if the Scarlets had managed to win. Gutted we didn't, made even worse that we didn't even get a LBP.
Saints were better 2nd half though, by far. We played suicide rugby at times. But still, Sanjay, so close in the end to scoring. My heart is feeling a little bit
Alain almost made up for it though. He did his warm up for the match right in front of me. The man's such a tease.
I discovered a new club in Cardiff last night that just plays 90's classics, complete throwback to my childhood! After having a jager bomb fishbowl with my mates I was well away in there, fantastic night, my feet feel like they are going to fall off now though, FAR too much dancing.
Only downside was seeing one of the guys we were out with go tumbling down a flight of stairs. It all seemed to happen in slow motion, twas horrible, sobered me right up. He's okay though, just had to get a cut in his head glued up, but he's so lucky it was only that. Could have been SO so much worse.
Just been catching up with all the rugby highlights, been some great games this weekend, got to love this competition.
Just tuned into Glasgow v Leinster now.
And my SG picks have mostly gone well, I'm still in the top 10

That makes me feel old when you talk about 90's music being a throwback to your childhood dreamer.. Stop it
Glad you had a good night out though and i hope your mate feels better.

Happy to hear you had a great weekend, dreamer. Sorry to hear about your mate falling down the stairs though.
You're killing the SG picks... keep it up. As for me... well.
Gibbo's sent me a crystal clear link to the game. So I might learn something!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
ah I go on hunches with my SG picks, Breaker. My plan is not to think about it to much, go with your gut instict. Seems to work (apart from Scarlets matches, I'm too involved, there's not rational thinking tehre at all!)
Billy - ha sorry about that, thinking back to the 90's makes me feel quite old too. Classic tunes though, some I haven't heard for years, and yet somehow, I still knew all the words! Not sure how that works
I've been really enjoying this 2nd half, sooo SO close!

I hate to say this but a better side would have scored against Leinster there. So many holes and such a lack of vision from Glasgow.

superb defence in the end, hard fought win that, da iawn Leinster , feel for Glasgow though, they so could have got more out of that match.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Well played Glasgae, put the scares on Leinster a bit there but Leinster are too cute when it matters.
Stage 1 of the Bath miracle complete. A 6 try bashing of Glasgow next week with the Sinners going down in a tryless encouter with Munster......
That's actually not going to happen is it?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Tight finish and some desperate defence from Leinster to keep Glasgow out in the closing minutes. Worst time to lose a player to the sin-bin too.
I must admit from a SH perspective - it was real arm wrestle stuff in tough conditions towards the end there... but Leinster somehow got out of their red zone.
