The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
This is the first Pub of 606v2's second year, here's hoping for another good one.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Augustin Pichot, David Campese, Mal O'Kelly and Jim Williams above the bar!

Yesssir Gibbo sir!
Off to fit a shower pump, get some sparks and a couple of bits of poo-pipe for Monday's job, then back in time for my beloved Bath and the Saxons v Wolfhounds game. Nice.
Hughie, no bother man, we're good.
Gibbo, take it easy on yourself.

Hugh, I'm not a huge fan of Metallica but headed down to Marley Park to see them a few years ago. They were class.

Bore da pawb / good morning all.
So what do we think? Handshake or no handshake?
Hughie, early Bob Dylan might be a good place to start for picking.

Bore da pawb, off out to get myself a hair cut, and still really trying to think of what I can get my friends for an engagement present. Got utterly no clue so am hoping I just spot something as I browse. Sure I've still got 6hrs to get something.
Have wonderful days all

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Hughie luckys suggestion is a good one, try and play Girl From The North Country or something like that.
In reality, find patterns for finger picking and apply them to chord progressions from any song you like. Just try something like playing on an Open G chord and going up and down the six strings for a few minutes when you start practicing. Get your right-hand technique in place.

Afternoon pub
Nice day here, cold but sunny. Think I'm going to get off my backside and go for a walk. Need to snap out of this odd mood I'm in. Fresh air should do the trick

Afternoon. There's a very good interview with Sam Warburton in the DT today. Also he will have a column in the same paper during the 6N.
A captain's insight and thoughts on the tournament. Nice work DT.

It's nice to get another viewpoint to the English one during the 6N stag. It's why I often get the Irish Indo on Sundays after a 6N Saturday.

Ach, Hound man. Go to the (Irish) Times! Irish Indo is a terrible rag when it comes to the old rugby.

They devote more time to rugby though Notch than any other paper that I can see. The Times just seem to have Gerry and the examiner don't seem to have as much rugby covereage as they used to.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Thats true, they do write a lot about rugby.

Most of the Irish lads in my local get the Indo for the rugby coverage. There's a newsagents in my high street where you can get most of the county papers.

Look, it is purely coincidental that I'm watching last year's All Ireland Final on National Potato Day. There's nothing else on telly, and I didn't know about the potato thing until I logged on...

Probably not Cari, you're watching Boggers from Kerry play against the posh lads. Was a great game and the Dubs were the best in the land last year so it was deserved.

Yep. Nicely perched on the in the Press "Box" now. Top of the LV Stand on the 10 metre line. Good wifi too, and a bench & power point for the laptop.
