The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
This is the first Pub of 606v2's second year, here's hoping for another good one.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Augustin Pichot, David Campese, Mal O'Kelly and Jim Williams above the bar!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
1st serve is more of an issue for me Pete. When he starts missing those, that's when the pressure comes on, and the mental strength thing comes into play. Or is it lack of mental strength that makes him miss his serves in the first place?
he got broken back anyways 4-2 Djoko.
Agree he's unlucky to come up against the likes of Djoko, Nadal and Federer though. Those 3 can just step it up that extra level that Murray can never seem to.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I heard someone say about Andy Murray that he's comfortably fourth-best player in the world - clear of those behind him and a step away from those ahead of him. But there's time yet for him to get there.

Yep I'd say that's about right Lucky.
Ah man, still haven't found a present to get for my friend for her engagement party tomorrow, really struggling for ideas. Going to have to do a mad shop for something in the morning!

On the women's side of things, I'm glad we're going to get a new world number one. Wozniacki's so boring.

yep yep I got that Penfro diolch, still just waiting to hear from my friend is she deffo wants to come along to, then I can start booking things asap The link you sent yesterday did make though!
Lucky - yeah I know what you mean about Wozniaki. Got to say I might give the women's final a miss. Sharapova v. Azarenka = the loudest final ever?! Well, suppose I can just mute it I guess....

ah wow an amazing game in the tennis! lasted way more than 10 mins, Murray gets it, but all that effort and it was just to break back. Now 2-2 in the 2nd set, Murray to serve next.

woohoo a break! Consolidate it now please Mr Murray!
Pete - hadn't heard that about Hook at all! But then there were reports out a few weeks ago that he may have to play in a game for Perpignan so maybe there's something in it.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
So in effect they are -34 for 3. If we can skittle another couple before they break even in the second dig then we are well in the box seat.
Will need to bat well though, as it's obviously turning a bit.

Penfro;
great news for your ma
one of the guys I've befriended in here had his new leg fitted this morning,he was almost sprinting round the work room with a smile as big as a banana
Boudjellal gets a 130 day ban from bench and dressing rooms, which won't change much vis a vis his flappy-mouth outbursts

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Morning all, been lurking for the last few days as I'm detoxing Mondays-Thursdays now and being in the pub is not good karma.
Anyhoo, good news on Ma-Penfro
Congrats to Kiwi for exporting the AB's winning mentality
And much love to everyone else........ except Hughie.
I took some vital statistics early in the week to monitor my new fitness regime, and it appears I've lost 1/2" off my height over the last two years. I know it's normal to shrink a little as we get older, but when I did the maths, if this trend continuies and I reach my allocated 4 score and 10 - I'll be 5'0" tall.

Just kidding Puma, nothing at all.
But as my ears and nose will not stop growing (FACT ) and my feet are size 12, I'll look like an albino Oompa Loompa.
Not a good look.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
that's some description PJ!
and my poor brain, just spend the last 15 or so minutes trying to recalculate a really complicated care package for increase, my head officially hurts.
On a happier note (slightly) it's tie break time in the 3rd set! C'mon Murray!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Ah just got a Friday feeling last night (despite being Thursday). So booked a restaurant, told herself to be ready for 7pm without giving away any details and had a lovely meal in a restaurant we hadnt been to before but had good reputation. Then some drinks afterwards in the bar nearby. Nice last minute decision.

concentration Andy!
How can you win such a good set and then crumble to 4-1 in the 4th??
Also almost got caught in an almost biblical hail shower, crazy it was, it's left a coating of mini ice balls everywhere.
