The All New England v Wales bickering thread, 2012
First topic message reminder :
Same idea as the last one created by TycroesOsprey, but this time can we please stay on topic and no silly ponies.
"OK, every year we see threads that actually contain really good rugby discussion derailed by the ongoing Wales vs England bickering and WUMMING! I will name no names. I guess we have all been guilty.
Since most of the general bickering comes from the respective fans of Wales and England ; I thought I would create a thread for it in an effort to keep decent rugby discussion relatively WUM free in other threads. "
Let it commence

rubbish Peter. When spmbody goes beyond bickering and makes a serious accusation then it is not a petty argument about nothing. Im happy to bicker and talk rugby but I will be damned if some internet coward accuses me of somthing I havent done espescially when the thread is there for people to see. HERSH should apologise to me for that statement.

So Ruby, how many pints does it take you to think that you are Tom Jones or part of the Welsh Choir?

Glass of water will do mate in the right company. Just had 3 days at the Belfry with 18 welsh lads and 1 poor english fella - What a riot - In fact with regard to the Tom Jones scenario "it's not unusual" to find me belting outthe Green green grass of home - probably singing it on Saturday night

You know what you said and when confronted with it you started blabbing about something else, it’s beginning to look like a cry for attention! Just like the Ponies!
Move on, we don't want to here about flag burning and xenophobia we want to bicker about rugby issue concerning England and Wales

Come on then Boys what do you think of the England team.
I still think Wales will edge the game but I wouldn't be surprised if we beat both Ireland and France with that team and lose the 6 nations title on points difference to France or Wales

It's not a bad team at all, Hersh. The only question for me is whether England will spread the ball any wider than Tuilagi. If you do, we could be in trouble because you have a talented back three.

seems better balanced team to me. Morgan and Tuilangi will give you much needed go forwardrd ball.
Parling in to attck the weak Wales linout. I'm expecting a close game, most games at this level are close nowadays.

The team look very good in all honesty Hersh and it will be a simple game plan but effective much like Saracens - I dont get the Parling for Palmer move but apart from that it looks a good development. I think people are bigging up the SH a lot and he hasn't really done much so feet on the floor there. Its a good looking team and I think those sausage rolls will have you frothing at the mouth when they run out, don't spill the dandelion and burdock on the wax jackets in front of you

Re: The All New England v Wales bickering thread, 2012
Big gamble playing Owen at 10 but if they're good enough they're old enough I guess.. Flood cover is important.
Brad and Manu in the centres is what i felt we needed. Back three looks good, worrying lack of bench cover though! Back row looks more balanced. Front 5 looks good up against a good one.
Thing is they are pretty "scratch" still, which gives Wales the edge. I think they could win some over time with this combo though.

The size of the wales back three could hurt the eng back 3 but then the eng back three are bloody quick too. I expect North to score one or two.

I'm expecting a close game, most games at this level are close nowadays.
If those backs get going Wales could win big. On what we've seen, if England win it'll be close. Reckon that front row battle could be epic!
Hmm. It's hard to see an England side this inexperienced not making a few mistakes and any mistake at this level against a side like Wales is likely to be punished. Wales still big favourites.
But I gather some Welsh player has been quoted as saying they are going to Twickenham to "humiliate" the English. Well, if minds weren't focussed and determined before, they certainly are now.

I was wrong about the lack of back three cover. I missed Brown.
The bench also looks strong though i don't know much about Webber.
oops.. sorry Billy. Had an oddly sensible moment.

No Welsh player has said that, they are expecting a massive battle and have said so in the press.
And to be fair , it was the English who started winding up other countries in the press - their cricket captain claiming they will 'humble' the West Indian cricket team. Didn't work out so well...

Well that was Tony Greig, who was a Saffer.
Maybe I shouldn't bring up the issue of Saffers playing for England...
