The All New England v Wales bickering thread, 2012
First topic message reminder :
Same idea as the last one created by TycroesOsprey, but this time can we please stay on topic and no silly ponies.
"OK, every year we see threads that actually contain really good rugby discussion derailed by the ongoing Wales vs England bickering and WUMMING! I will name no names. I guess we have all been guilty.
Since most of the general bickering comes from the respective fans of Wales and England ; I thought I would create a thread for it in an effort to keep decent rugby discussion relatively WUM free in other threads. "
Let it commence

And the league medal suggests that he's at least as good as Dan Biggar!
No Cips was a good attacking player if you had a lead to play with, he was never going to replace Wilko.
Farrell is a completely different character, he even had time to smile as he took the kick that won us the game in Rome, Wasn't the weather awful in Rome yet England pulled through, I think this team is made of tough stuff.

Wales give out caps to retiring players just so they can do a forward roll infront of a full house, the Welsh cap has lost its value hence why Ben Morgan wanted to earn his.
Or maybe his Dad's in the coaching set up... That's how English players get picked now isn't it?

Ben morgan realised he'd be hard pushed to get a start for Wales with all the talent we have. However, he also knew he could walk into the England side as he plays in a much more competitive league and even our own regional players who are not even considered as second choices for Wales (like himself) are so far above their English counterparts that the RFU would take him on as in that - albeit inferior - environment he will thrive.
Why have we got this thread anyway? There was nothing wrong with the other one that was exactly the same. Shouldn't they be merged?

Morgan IS and always WAS, English.
He was never going to play for Wales otherwise he would have done so at another level, he used the Welsh to raise his profile as he knew (like most of us English fans) that players get hyped when they play in Wales, even if they are average.
The reason for the new thread was that the old one was taken over by someone, (mentioning no names) but they began to imply that a large majority of English people are members of an evil political party, there wasn't anywhere else to go after that.

I think Wales still need Henson to really challenge on the world stage, Roberts and Davies are ok but they're a bit one dimensional in their play.
No ponies please, there is only room for one or two and I think Gatts and Edwards fit the bill, as they are one trick ponies.

It's a New Dawn, It's a New Day but I'm afraid its the same old Hersh - Morning Hershy, those sausage rolls packed and a full tank of diesel in the Focus Morgan is welsh by the way, grand father from Merthyr that's why he played for them. Respect to him choosing is home land of birth though - Pity, Corbisiero, Hartley, Botha, Barritt, Waldrom and Tuilagi didn't have the same strength in their convictions.

North is a welsh speaker who's parents got stuck in Norfolk on the way home - that's the story but I think in all honesty he came from an asteroid that landed in Anglesey - welsh speaker too - If he had any Southern Hemisphere blood he would be yours mate

Not only did Morgan use Wales but he looks like he helps prop up the local economy in Llanelli on pies and takeaways.
Professional rugby in Wales still has a long way to go, lets hope we can get him into a Pro club n England soon to get him back in shape.
I'll stick to my hamper thanks Ruby

It was professional rugby in Wales that nearly got him into contention for the Welsh, but he knew after the world cup he'd never get in.
He took one look at the rugby in England and realised there was no one in his way for the England No 8 jersey.
Maybe, just maybe professional rugby in England could start producing decent rugby players again

I think it’s harsh that Martyn Williams didn't get his 100th cap, but maybe he'll get a recall and a home fixture against Aus and maybe be allowed to score in the last min once Aus have won the game just to give him a nice send off and a chance to show off his gymnastic skills.
At least every player to pull on the Red Rose of England is within the rules of the game which are set in place by the IRB, unlike Mr Howarth.

They're giving England caps away for free with Frosties cereals and retail stores at the moment. Why do you think Morgan choose England?
He actually got his first cap as a christmas present in the form of vouchers that his aunty gave to him for christmas from Marks and Sparks, it was an introductory offer

If anyone is giving away free cap its Wales, just look at poor young Shingler he agreed to play a meaningless youth game and was given a cap the lad didn't want.
The WRU will be hanging around English and Scottish schools next with a bag full of Welsh Caps!!!!!!

U20s is seen as the A team, he was told that...
Morgan wanted to play pro rugby, Scarlets helped him achieve that. He could have played for the Saxons, he chose not to holding out for Wales. Then the Welsh backrow had a storming world cup, all of a sudden things are looking a bit difficult for him West of the Severn. No competition for him in England, takes the easy option.
England have had to look to getting hold of illegal immigrants such is the lack of talent in English rugby at the mo

Re: The All New England v Wales bickering thread, 2012
I think the RFU could be on to something here,
By letting English players play in goldfish bowl that is Welsh rugby it gives these lads a chance to develop without the pressure of relegation plus the games are easier and they're guaranteed game time as we have so much talent compared to Wales, lets face it a 3rd/4th choice young English player in a Jeff team will get into a Rabo region no problems plus they're cheap compared to there over hyped Welsh team mates..
I think the RFU deserve a round of applause.

Am I getting to you Boyo?
Back to the RFU plan.
With the Rabo Regions now acting as feeder clubs for English rugby this would have a knock on effect to the Welsh national team, give it another 4/5 years Welsh rugby won't be a threat anymore, as the big names will have retired or moved to France, the young welsh players will have quit the game as they couldn't get in the teams due to the higher class English lads.
This is a great plan.

Why are the Regions dying on their asses and the Jeff clubs are recording high profits?
We give the fans what they want, a mixture of free flowing games followed by a tight defensive display the following week it has it all. What does the Rabo have Aironi, Benetton, Connacht the Dragons need I go on

But its true there was nowhere else to go after those comments.
Lets move on and forward, we have a great game to look forward too, and a couple of days bickering, and then the fallout from the game.
