Same idea as the last one created by TycroesOsprey, but this time can we please stay on topic and no silly ponies. furious

"OK, every year we see threads that actually contain really good rugby discussion derailed by the ongoing Wales vs England bickering and WUMMING! I will name no names. I guess we have all been guilty.

Since most of the general bickering comes from the respective fans of Wales and England ; I thought I would create a thread for it in an effort to keep decent rugby discussion relatively WUM free in other threads. "

It's about quality, not quantity. Those with multiple thousands of posts generally are just WUMs.

People with a few hundred generally have more insightful posts to genuinely add something to the forum.

The difference between 'will' and 'could' is significant. Using 'could' reflects the reality that none of us can possibly know what will actually happen.

I truly hope that everybody enjoys todays games, and that the Welsh enjoy it less than the England fans, if you know what i mean!! Wink

I hope and believe England will win, but banter aside i can see Wales doing it as well, but to the Victor ,the spoils, c'mon England!!

P.s. Can we all please stop this wumming and discord as it sets a bad example to Rugby fans and the Welsh! Yahoo

Wales deserved their win, but the best player for them was that Tanker Walsh!! Doh

Wales took their chances well, and there were a couple of occasions when England could and should have had penalties.

But what a great game and its a case for England of 'What might have been' but i do see some movement forward. thumbsup

I though the first call of the game was the worst.

England had turned the ball carrier and he was hanging on. We should have started with a shot at goal.

Walsh penalised for "not rolling away" however the tackler did roll away and the man he penalised was the "third man" who had all the rights, had his hands on the ball before the ruck formed and stayed on his feet throughout. Just a completely wrong call that put us on the wrong foot for 20 minutes.

That first penalty was for the tackler (Brad Barritt) not releasing. It was clear as day.

You had our number, Mysti. We had no plan B and I thought it was curtains when Priestland went off. But that ten minutes when you didn't punish us changed the momentum of the game.

Watch again LP, I think you are wrong. The tackler is long gone and the carrier still hasn't released.

I will watch it again tomorrow, but I'm pretty certain Brad Barritt was the tackler. He had Priestland by the legs and was almost back on his feet before he finally let them go.

we didnt do to much against you lot with 14 men- almost agree that it may have helped you losing priestland..

anyway the only thing i can remeber now about the match was that that 20 minutes first half(20-40) when i saw a glimpse of what we can be like. thats the good memory i take away. i am pleased and we will be a good contender against france and in all probibilty favs against ireland- if we can keep improving each game i am more than happy.

wales v france will be the title decider now- even if we/england beat em in paris

my mistake - it was Barritt that made the tackle but didn't prevent the Welsh player from placing the ball as he had hold of his ankle and he didn't attempt to play the ball ...

Well Played Wales.

I knew you would win once I found out who the ref was, but to be honest he evened it out with Priestlands yellow (what was that for again?)

But I think the moral victory was ours, especially with that try at the end.

I'm looking forward to the Wal v Fra game, and I think England could win both of our remaining games.
