The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Gibbo's Ma and Brad Thorn above the bar!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Swanny... have a great day on your birthday on Sunday.
Glas' and Rava's birthdays coming up too I see. a firm, manly handshake to you both!
I completely missed my SG tip for the last Pro12 match but I love it when you get a point for a 'default' pick. How does that work?
Anyway, thank you Gwent Dragons. May your fires keep burning through your nostrils.

Linebreaker,
You missed out the oldest codger in the place and the one who caused this whole sheebang to start with.
Gibbo will be 96 on Monday!

Thanks MrsP.
The job's going really well, I'm actually there now! <ahem>
It's a very quiet Friday afternoon, no managers in, not many staff in and it's one of the girls birthday (another March one!) so zero productivity right now. is nice though

Working hard then Swanny!? Don't blame you. I can't get away with that at work anymore.
Risca - I think the others are, I won't be in town myself.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Great.
only 2 more days(excepting frost) and silly season is over.Hopefully the IRB will stipulate that all rugby shall be played indoors to placate WG.
So what are the odds on an Athletic/Athletico final?
Aupa Bilbo!!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I haven't read back today but wanted to offer my sympathy in respect of the passing of Mervyn Davies.
When I got into rugby in the early 70's there were a few icons in the game. Davies was one of those. For me is is up there with the Willie John's, Beaumonts, Edwards and Gibsons of the game. I am quite sad today. I really hope that his countrymen can go out and win a Slam tomorrow in his honour. That would be a fitting and lasting tribute to the great man.
Thanks.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
aaaargh stupid phone shops!!
Stupid shop guy just tried to sell me every other phone but the one I wanted for 20mins, finally gets round to processing the sale, realises the phone I want isn't in stock in that store, so says I need to go to another store about 5 mins away. What a waste of a lunch break, didn't have time to go to the other store
Rev - aye the QV is where I'm aiming to be at, going to check tonight what time it opens, might only be midday but was thinking as the first match kicks off at 12:30, it'll be open earlier. Would say get in early tho, it wil lbe absolutely packed in there.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Cari, you won't believe who I met in town today. A certain young chap named Eoin. Had no paper with me but I would have gotten an autograph for you otherwise I also had a chat with a Dublin fella down for the soccer match tonight, no arguing or any shoite like that but a grand chat about the state of the LOI and football in general.
That's why people love rugby and it's why I love Irish soccer.

Ozzy, if you're looking for sport to watch tonight, there are the U-20 games on. England V Ireland for the title decider is on SS2 while that meaningless France v Wales game is on S4C. Failing that, go to RTE.ie and watch the best team in Ireland play host to Shamrock Rovers (the fact that the table says we're shoite doesn't mean a jot! )
