The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Georgia
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has ventured to Georgia, because rugbydreamer wants the Scarlets to find a nice forward out there.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of birthday boy Hughie, Chris Budgen, Leo Cullen, Brian O'Driscoll, Paddy Wallace, Tomas O'Leary and a red faced Ronan O'Gara on the wall.

We took the kids to a few of the places we had told them about and it was great fun. We even totally shocked them by telling them that we walked across the top of the arches on the bridge at Kenmare. They couldn't believe i would do such a thing!
Sounds lovely, fair play.

It sounds a bit more like my uncle, but it my dad did have fairly dark hair, so who knows. Apparently I'm come from a good looking family though so maybe that's something to celebrate!

I'm up for most of the night, sister is going in for scans tomorrow, so trying to keep her up so she's going to have to be tired going in for the injection. I'm watching Toy Story though so I'm pretty happy!

Evening all
Gutted that I can't make the Heineken final, and will be even more gutted if Ulster do make it.
Hope everyone has had a good Easter (sure the Ulster regs have).

Would really love to see you mate. I will be in London from Friday to Monday.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Georgia
Bore da pawb / good morning all, I'll have one of those if that's okay!
I've had a great four-day weekend, I feel nicely rested and ready for the rigours of a four-day week. Some great rugby on the weekend too, as I'm sure you're all aware. Really pleased for Ulster and especially Edinburgh reaching the Heino semi finals, but the best game for me was Cross Keys versus the Cornish Pirates. Keys had three chances to score a try that would have put the game beyond the Pirates but took none of them, and it looked inevitable that the Pirates would steal the game at the end. But they didn't and Keys are through to the final of the British and Irish Cup! Not bad for a team that has someone from my school playing for them!

Definitely can't make the game on the Saturday mate, it's eldest daughters birthday party, but if you are over Friday to Monday we will definitely sort something out for having a few scoops.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Georgia
For all those who offered up Cardiff restaurant recommendations I got this from my boss this morning:
I made it out to Mint and Mustard—and quite enjoyed it. Very nice Indian food and one does not come across Keralan food often… it seems many of the Indian restaurants in London serve the same kind of food… then again, from what I hear, most of them have Bangladeshi chefs…It was a quite weekend—visited the castle, looked at the stadium, went out to the bay by water taxi… all pretty tame.
Thanks for the recommendations…
Brian
P.S. Walked through Chippey Alley… and said no to bad greasy food.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Georgia
It is well known to most in here that my maternal grandmother is from Enniskillen hence my affection for Ulster. I have also spent the past 20 years with the mis-held belief that my paternal grandmother was from Galway. I found out this weekend that she merely lived there briefly in her early twenties, but was in fact born and raised in Navan, which would make Ulster vs. Leinster battle of the grannies for me.
Much as I loved my Nanny Oz, my affection will always be more for Ulster, having been brought up knowing more about coming from there historically, and having to work out what on earth my Nanny T was talking about with some of the phrases she used to come out with.
Slightly random post there, but just came into my head and thought I would share it.

Morning pub.
While I would like to see Leinster (and Ulster) get to the final for our regs’ sake, something in me would love to see those ASM fans at the final.
I was speaking to a couple of Sarries fans yesterday and they said that the ASM fans absolutely rocked Vicarage Road on Sunday. The team didn’t do a bad job either.

Morning all.
Tickets booked for the semi. Then I had a wee look in my diary which hadn't seen the light of day while we were on holidays.
Ooooops!!!!
That day we had already got an athletics meet for the wee fella and the Ulster Dance Champs for P4!!!!
Now trying to work out how we can get us to those events and have a hope of making the train to Dublin!!!!
Anyone have a helicopter we could borrow?

It will probably come to that Stag. The drive is easy, but the train is even easier and we wouldn't have to think of where to park in Dublin.
As you will appreciate, it would be good if we could avoid having to walk too far with the wee one.

I've only been in a helicopter once and that was an emergency at work. Did discover that it is very difficult to hear anything through your stethoscope in a helicopter!
